Toronto Pitstop 🌃

A fleeting visit to the Fairmont Royal York, arriving at 1 a.m. after a delayed train from Montreal (of course!). Even so, the city lights evoked a Gotham-esque vibe. Now, a little weary after 12 hours of travel, I'm on the GO train to Niagara. The promise of water and a positively spring-like feel at-2° (a welcome change from Quebec's -23°C!) is just what I need.

All aboard the adventure train! 🚂💨

My heartstrings are tugging a little as I bid adieu to Quebec City. It's completely shattered my "one and done" travel rule – this winter wonderland has officially earned a coveted spot on my "must-return" list. Quebec City, and Montreal too, are just begging for a summer encore. Picture this: sun-drenched terraces overflowing with laughter, the gentle hum of conversation, balmy nights perfect for people-watching... pure magic! I'm already dreaming of it. ✨

Canada, you've stolen my heart with your stunning stations! Each one is a unique masterpiece, brimming with charm and grandeur. Another perk of treating myself to business class (besides the lounges, delicious vegan treats, and stress-free boarding): they happily held my luggage when I arrived a tad early (three hours, to be exact!). A blizzard last night made me a little over-cautious, but hey, better safe than sorry! This gave me the freedom to wander, camera in hand, and capture the station's snowy splendor. It's straight out of a dream! Even with the ongoing preservation work on the magnificent glass ceiling, its beauty shines through.

It's a long haul today – Quebec City to Montreal, then onwards to Toronto. Think travel vibes until nearly midnight (that's 5 am for most of you lovelies!). My reward? The Fairmont Royal York, sister to the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Maybe, just maybe, I'll sneak in a morning swim before I chase the majestic waterfalls of Niagara. And the cherry on top? I'm on a sparkling new carriage (Train 32, Car 2) – pure comfort and a fantastic crew! 👌🏼 Onwards and upwards!

I've just caught you up with some of the requested wanderlust posts! I've only just this minute worked out how to crosspost again from Instagram to Facebook. Only took me 3 years! So from now on all my trip will be with you in real time!

I'm having a wonderful time!!! Feel like I've been away months, it's only been 11days! 22 to go! Can't wait to see you 🇨🇦🍁🚈🥶
