Mr T is out on a big training ride today with his beloved bike.
So after a bit of a spring clean ( sorry but much easier when no one else is here !) I have popped a fresh bottle of Nourish & Glow oil on the shelf for him. He has had great improvments to his skin since we started using this. You need this in your routine to help with acne, spots, oily skin, irritated or dry skin. Great post shave. This is formulated to absorb fast. You get the deep nourishment of a rich oil with a clean, smooth finish. High performance, zero grease.
Spent ages developing this recipe for a rich creamy soap that smells incredible. Sadly people keep telling me ‘He looks to good to use’, Nicci Innerlather

Big thanks to my lovely client this morning for todays post inspiration. We did a lovely Manicure and Pedicure, now she has gone home to do some gardening, so we had a good chat about how to protect her nails.
There is nothing quite like spending time in your garden. But if you’re a keen gardener, you’ll know that soil can leave your hands feeling incredibly dry, rough, and stained.
I love a bit of gardening, but my timing is usually off and I have to panic scrub my nails in the shower. Some people soak their hands in Bio laundry detergent (This would be to drying for my nails)
Here are my Top 4 Therapist Tips to protect and restore your hands so you dont get in the same mess I do!
1. Before the gloves go on - A lady at a market told me this
Grab your Innerlather Cleansing Bar, gently run your fingernails across it so a little bit of the soap fills the gap under your nails. Then, pop your gloves on. The soap acts as a natural barrier, blocking soil from getting wedged under your nails. When you come in, the dirt washes away without you having to scrub your nails.
2. The Top to Toe Soak
After all that lifting, bending, and digging, your muscles (and skin) deserve a treat. Skip the harsh shower gel, instead use a pump of Lemongrass Top to Toe Wash in a warm shower or bath. The natural antibacterial properties of the lemongrass sweep away the garden grime while keeping your skin barrier beautifully hydrated and calm.
3. Feed Your Cuticles
Soil can be incredibly drying. Once your hands are clean and slightly damp, press a few drops of our Nourish & Glow Skin Oil into your hands, nails, & cuticles. The Rosehip and Avocado oils pe*****te deeply to repair the skin matrix and may prevent painful skin splits.
4. Seal the Barrier
Finish by locking all that goodness in with Rich Borage Cream. Borage oil is a rich source of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), so its great for healing and protecting.

Is anyone else officially melting? 🥵☀️
This heatwave is beautiful, but it presents my skin with some challenges.
Between the sweat, the suntan lotion buildup, and that sticky humid feeling, our skin barrier can start to feel a bit overwhelmed.
If you are looking for a way to instantly reset and cool down, let me introduce you to your new summer shower essential: our Lemongrass Top to Toe Wash.
I formulated this multi-tasking wash to act as a complete refresh for both your hair and body, but it’s during a heatwave that it truly shines. Here is the science-backed reason why lemongrass is ideal for the hot weather:
🌿 1. The Instant Cool Down
Lemongrass has natural astringent and cooling properties. When you use it in a lukewarm shower after a long day in the sun, it helps to instantly lower your skin's surface temperature and revive tired, sluggish circulation.
🧫 2. Nature’s Deodorizer
Sweat itself doesn't actually smell—it’s the bacteria on our skin breaking it down that causes odour. Lemongrass is packed with natural antibacterial compounds that gently eliminate that bacteria, keeping you feeling genuinely clean and fresh for hours after you step out of the shower.
💦 3. Balances Summer Oil Production
Hot weather signals our sebaceous glands to produce more oil, leading to that sticky feeling or summer breakouts (especially on the back and chest). Lemongrass helps clarify and regulate excess oil production without stripping your skin barrier dry like synthetic soaps do.
Plus, the crisp, zesty aroma is an instant mood booster for those sluggish, humid mornings! 🍋✨
It’s gentle enough for the face, strong enough for the body, and refreshing enough to save your sanity this week.
The salon shelves are stocked for the summer—click the link in our bio to grab yours, or drop me a message if your skin is throwing a heatwave tantrum and you need some advice! 💌

Waking up with a puffy face? Slight wobble under the chin? Could this help? Im not sure if I have the time or the energy but.....
Facial brushes are all over my TikTok at the moment, they have even featured in a
recent British Vogue feature on the rise of lymphatic brushing: So does dry brushing actually work for the face, or will it just irritate the skin?
As a clinical therapist with 20 years of hands-on experience I think lymphatic message can be a very effective facial tool, but only if you follow the rules. Watching people attempting to lift their cheeks sand eyebrows is so misleading. !
Facial skin is much thinner than body skin, and the lymph vessels here are incredibly delicate. If you use a stiff body brush, or if you press too hard, you’ll actually compress the lymph channels and prevent them from draining (while potentialy causing redness and broken capillaries).
But when done correctly with a ultra-soft, dedicated facial brush, you are manually sweeping away fluid, clearing out sinus pressure, and bringing a rush of fresh, oxygenated blood to the surface.
If you’re ready to depuff and glow, here is your Therapist-Led Guide to Facial Brushing:
1️⃣ Start at the Collarbones: Think of your collarbones as the "drain." Always start by gently sweeping down your neck to open up the pathways first. If the neck is blocked, the fluid on your face has nowhere to go!
2️⃣ Feather-Light Strokes: Use a soft, stroking motion from the center of your face outward toward your ears, then down the sides of the neck. The brush should barely bend—if your skin is turning bright red, you’re pressing too hard!
3️⃣ Brush Dry, Seal Wet: Always perform this on clean, dry skin before applying your products. Once you've finished, wash away any exfoliated cells, and immediately follow with your Nourish & Glow Oil on damp skin, and then your moisturiser.
Our Nourish & Glow Skin Oil is the perfect post-brushing partner.

The most beautiful sound in my treatment room? It’s not the playlist, although I do love the bird song tracks, it’s your tummy rumbling.
It happens all the time: ten minutes into a lovely facial or a massage, the room is quiet, and then… gurgle.
I love that sound.
Most of our lives are spent in the "fight or flight" state where our bodies are prepared for stress. When you lay down and start to truly relax, your nervous system flips the switch to 'Parasympathetic' mode.
This is often called the "Rest and Digest" state.
When your stomach rumbles, it’s a physical signal that your body finally feels safe enough to stop worrying about the outside world. It means your heart rate has slowed and your muscles are relaxing.
So, if your tummy decides to join the conversation during our next appointment, it’s just your body’s way of saying: "Thank you, I’m finally relaxed."

Why did I choose these ingredients to make Nourish & Glow Skin Oil? Short answer, because in the right balance they produce great results.
Long answer.......
1. Bakuchiol: The Natural Retinol Alternative
Bakuchiol is derived from the seeds and leaves of the Babchi plant. It is popular for mimicking the effects of Retinol without the harsh side effects.
Like Retinol, Bakuchiol tells your cells to regenerate and produce collagen. However, it does not cause the dryness, or redness typically associated with VitaminA.
Acne-Fighting: It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce breakouts and calm existing blemishes.
Fine Lines & Texture: It significantly improves skin elasticity.
2. Rosehip Oil: The Brightening Specialist
Extracted from the seeds of wild rose bushes, Rosehip oil is often called "nature's multivitamin" for the skin.
Rosehip contains small amounts of natural Vitamin A, which helps with cell turnover.
Rich in Vitamin C: This makes it excellent for brightening dull skin and fading hyperpigmentation (dark spots or acne scars).
It contains Omega-3 and Omega-6, which help repair a damaged skin barrier and keep the skin feeling supple.
Non-Greasy Feel: It is considered a "dry oil" because it absorbs very quickly into the skin without leaving a heavy, oily residue.
3. Avocado Oil: The Deep Hydrator
Avocado oil is a "heavyweight" oil, meaning it is richer and thicker than Rosehip, making it ideal for deep nourishment.
Sterolin & Vitamin E: Avocado oil contains high levels of plant steroids (sterolins) which help to soften the skin and evenout skin tone.
Pe*******on Power: It is one of the few oils that can actually pe*****te the dermis (the deeper layer of skin), rather than just sitting on the surface.
Relief for Dryness: Perfect for people with eczema, psoriasis, or severely dry, cracked skin.
