Sober Dragons / Dreigiau Sobr

This is my story - it's fairly common in the sober community. Growing up as a teenager drinking in the park, getting into clubs and bars underage and abusing alcohol. Then drinking at home several nights a week after having babies. I've created this account so that I can put on sober social events so that sober or sober curious people can meet, make connections and have fun without booze. Let me know your story, and I'll create a feature slide for you 😊

What a day! Apologies that I've only just managed to post, but I've been busy with my daughter's birthday and work. So this morning started with me chatting to Dot Davies on BBC Radio Wales about Sober Dragons. There followed a decent phone in around the subject of going sober and it was great to hear so many people with shared experiences. It was also fab that no-one disagreed! You can't deny that going out and getting hammered, and vomiting in your mates shoe is a good thing!

I've been reading 'One for the Road' by and last nights chapter aptly ended on the theme of community. I love the quote, it comes up quite a lot in the sober community and was absolutely my saviour and the final bit of the puzzle that helped me give up alcohol.

Agenda for 'Tai Chi with Chai Tea' on 19th November:
- 2.30pm doors open
- 2.30 - 3.30pm meet and socialise with other sober / sober curious people over a cuppa or cold drink
- 3.30 - 4.15 Tai Chi
- 4.15 - 4.45 more socialising (and maybe another cuppa! 😍)
- 4.45 event ends

£8 per person includes drinks

Tai Chi and Chai Tea A Sober Saturday event for sober and sober curious people to relax and socialise without alcohol

We have our first event!!! Tai Chi with Chai Tea. Come along and meet other sober or sober curious people, see how it's possible to relax without alcohol. This is an inclusive event for all genders. We have a qualified Tai Chi teacher joining us. The first part of the event is for meet and great - hot and cold drinks included. Spread the word - hope to see you there.
