It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Guy Christian Salon closed its doors for the final time on 23rd December 2025. However, it’s not all bad news, so please read on…

Due to changes within the hairdressing industry since Covid, we have been unable to recruit new high-quality hairdressers. As a result, despite having a wonderfully loyal client base, we are no longer able to continue operating at our current staffing levels.

The good news is that Ken Picton Salon, just around the corner, has kindly taken us under their wing. You can still find your favourite stylists just a stone’s throw from the front door of Guy Christian Salon.

Ken has also kindly agreed to honour any outstanding deposits and gift cards for your upcoming appointment. Due to the closure, we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds for deposits or gift cards at this time.

Our phone lines will remain live for a short period to help book appointments at our new home, and we would be very grateful for your continued loyalty at our new address.

You’ll run your own column, set your own prices, and manage your own clients — all while working in a gorgeous, fashion-forward space that reflects the quality of your work.

We know, we know… it feels way too early to be thinking about Christmas parties — but would you believe there’s only 8 weeks to go?! 😱

Party season is fast approaching, and with that in mind, we’ve opened a few extra days on top of our regular hours to make sure you’re looking festive fantastic! ✨

Our extra opening days are:

Monday 8th, 15th and 22nd December

We’ll then be closed from 24th December until 3rd January 2025 – where does the time go?! 🎅

We are seeking a talented Senior Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team at Guy Christian Salon in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hairdressing and possess exceptional skills in cutting, coloring, and styling. As a Senior Hair Stylist, you will provide high-quality hair services to our clients while demonstrating strong leadership within the salon.

Duties:

Perform a wide range of hairdressing services, including cutting, colouring, and styling
Mentor junior stylists and offer guidance on techniques
Upsell salon products and services to clients
Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Stay updated on the latest trends in hairdressing and the industry
Offer barbering services for male clients
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with expertise in cutting, coloring, and styling
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
Ability to mentor and train junior stylists
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
