Let’s talk about the chin ❤️

It’s one of the most overlooked features in facial balancing — but it plays a huge role in how the whole face reads.

Here’s why. The chin anchors the lower third of the face. When chin projection is slightly set back, it can make the nose appear more prominent, shorten the appearance of the jawline, and reduce definition where the face meets the neck. So even though people often focus on the nose or jaw, the chin is frequently the missing piece.

For this client, we placed a small amount of dermal filler to gently enhance projection and improve balance across the lower face. Notice how the front-on proportions look more harmonious — not because any single feature has been dramatically changed, but because the relationship between features is now better aligned.

This is the principle behind facial balancing: we assess your face as a whole and treat the area that will make the biggest difference, rather than chasing one feature in isolation. Sometimes that’s lips or cheeks. Often, it’s the chin.

A few things worth knowing:
– Chin filler is temporary and results build gradually
– A thorough assessment matters, as anatomy varies enormously
– Subtle is almost always more powerful than obvious

Wondering if your chin is affecting your overall balance? Book a consultation and we’ll assess it properly.

Photos from Sebastian-Rose Medical Aesthetics - Cardiff's post 09/07/2026

He’d already picked a clinic off TikTok….

Then he stopped, did some proper research, and booked with us instead.

Best decision he made.

The tear trough — that hollow, shadowed area under the eye that leaves you looking permanently tired — is one of the most technique-sensitive areas on the entire face. The anatomy is delicate, the margin for error is small, and it’s not an area to hand to someone just because their reel looked good.

We treated his under-eyes with the only product in the world specifically designed and licensed for the tear trough, placed by an experienced medical aesthetic practitioner who knows this anatomy inside out.

Now — about these photos. 👇

In the tear trough world, before and afters are notoriously manipulated. The oldest trick in the book: have the client tilt their head up for the “before” so the hollow throws a deep shadow and looks its worst, then straight-ahead or slightly down for the “after” so it all but disappears — a “result” you’d get with no treatment at all, just a change of angle. Add a harsh ring light, a filter or two, and you can sell a transformation that never actually happened.

We don’t do that.

Same angle.

Same lighting.

No ring light, no filters, no editing.

We showed him his progress as we went — in both light and shadow — so he could see exactly what was real.

What you’re looking at is simply the immediate result. And it only refines further as everything settles over the next couple of weeks.

Tired, hollow under-eyes — on men and women — are one of the most rewarding things we treat. But where you go, who holds the needle, and whether they’re honest enough to show you an unfiltered result matters more here than almost anywhere.

Do your research.

Choose medical.

Choose experience.

Choose honest. 🤍

One feature. A whole new profile.

The nose anchors your side profile more than any other feature — so refining it quietly transforms the balance of everything around it. That’s the art of non-surgical rhinoplasty.

Smoothed, balanced, unmistakably you — just in better proportion. Carried out at the clinic, no surgery, minimal fuss.

We didn’t make her nose smaller. We made it look smaller. 👀

Here’s the part that surprises people most about a non-surgical rhinoplasty: we don’t shrink anything.

We refine.

A few precisely placed micro-droplets along the profile soften a bump, straighten the bridge line and give the tip gentle support — and suddenly the whole nose looks lighter and more balanced with the rest of the face.

Same nose.

Better balance.

No surgery, almost no downtime.

This is optical artistry as much as it is medicine — and it’s why placement, in trained clinical hands, is everything.

Let’s clear this up, again: filler isn’t the problem 😖

Almost every day, someone sits in our chair and tells us they ‘don’t want filler’ because of something they saw online, or a “botched” result they’ve heard about.

We understand why — but we need you to hear this.

Filler, in trained hands, using the right product in the right place for the right reason, is one of the safest and most predictable tools we have.

What you’re actually afraid of isn’t filler. It’s bad filler work — and there’s a mountain of it in the UK, because this industry is shamefully under-regulated. Anyone can do a weekend course and start injecting. Cheap, unlicensed products get imported and used because they’re a fraction of the price of the pharmacy-grade fillers we use. Faces get overfilled because the injector chased volume instead of understanding anatomy. That’s not filler failing you — that’s a lack of skill, cutting corners, and no accountability.

Take a look at the image. Subtle, precisely placed filler — restoring structure and lifting the mid-face, without ever looking “done.” She still looks completely like herself, just more rested. This is what filler is supposed to do.

When you come to us, you’re being treated by a MEDICAL aesthetics practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience, using licensed products traced from regulated pharmacies, with a full facial assessment before a single needle comes near you. We’ll tell you honestly if you don’t need filler — and just as honestly when it’s the right choice for you.

So when we say filler is the best fit for your face, please trust that it comes from two decades of doing this properly, and knowing our products and anatomy inside out.

Everyone thinks they know what killed him. They’ve got it wrong.

A senior beauty-industry executive died this year of a pulmonary embolism, and his death was linked to cosmetic filler. Social media did the rest: facial filler can stop your heart. This is why I’ll never get my lips done.

So I did what the headlines didn’t. I read the medical examiner’s actual ruling — then read every documented case of filler reaching the lungs in the published global literature.

Here’s what I found, and what I haven’t seen one other clinic say out loud:
▪️ The ruling confirmed filler caused the embolism. It did NOT say where on his body the filler was. That detail is missing from every report.
▪️ In all of published medicine, there is not one recorded death from a pulmonary embolism caused by FACIAL filler. Not a single case.
▪️ The deaths that do exist are large-volume BODY procedures — buttock, breast, ge***al filler. Often permanent materials. Very often performed by someone with no medical training at all.

The distinction the headlines erased is the entire story. It’s the difference between being frightened of the wrong thing and understanding the real one.

I’ve written the full evidence review — every case, the anatomy of how and why it happens, and what actually makes an injectable safe. Long, fully referenced, and it took reading the primary literature to write.

Read it before a headline makes your decision for you. 🔗

Russian sweetheart lips, done properly. 🥀

This client came to us wanting her naturally M-shaped upper lip refined and reshaped into a softer, lifted Russian-style finish — more height through the centre, a defined cupid’s bow, and that pretty heart-shaped “sweetheart” silhouette.

The M-shape is one of the trickier lip anatomies to work with. It takes precision, the right technique, and a genuine understanding of where — and where not — to place product. This is exactly why your result comes down to the hands holding the needle, not the millilitres in the syringe.

Created using premium Restylane Kysse, a filler designed specifically for natural lip movement, softness and colour.

A little swelling is completely normal, and with today being one of the hottest days of the year, expect a touch more than usual. This settles beautifully over the coming days to reveal the final result.

Performed in clinic by a qualified medical professional. You’re paying for the skill, the safety and the artistry — never just the product.

When we say we do noses… we mean it.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is one of the highest-risk procedures in aesthetic medicine — and anyone who tells you otherwise shouldn’t be holding the syringe. The nose sits over a network of arteries, and a misplaced product can have serious consequences. That’s the textbook reason it’s classed as high risk.

But here’s the honest reality: a procedure is only ever as high-risk as the hands performing it. The same way you’d want a brain surgeon operating on your brain — not someone who took a weekend course in a shop. Anatomical mastery isn’t optional here. It’s the entire job.

This result was achieved in under 10 minutes, with no downtime beyond the possibility of a small bruise. No filters. No clever camera angles. No flattering lighting. Just a syringe, precise medical expertise, and our patient.

His brief was simple: keep it natural. So we did. He’s gone from a downturned tip with a bump and a high supratip break to a straighter, more structured, balanced profile — refined, not overdone. Still completely him.

This is what trained, evidence-led, medically-led aesthetics looks like.

Every treatment begins with a full consultation and suitability assessment. Individual results vary.

✨ Full face transformation — unfiltered, unedited.

This lady had cheek filler, jaw filler, and a touch of chin filler to restore structure, definition, and balance to the face.

No filters.

No lighting tricks.

No full face of makeup thereafter.

Just skilled placement and the right product, in the right hands.

And here’s the honest truth most people don’t tell you 👇

1ml is not always enough.

For faces that have experienced significant volume loss — whether through age, weight loss, or changes in facial structure — chasing results with a single ml is like painting one wall and wondering why the room doesn’t look different. You likely need a package approach to truly restore what’s been lost.

This is exactly why we offer:

💉 Packages

💉 8 Point Facelift

💉 Tailored treatment plans — because no two faces are the same.

We take the time to assess your face holistically, discuss realistic expectations, and create a plan that actually moves the needle.

This treatment was carried out safely by a medical professional, in a clinical setting, using premium products — because your face deserves nothing less.

If you’re ready to have an honest conversation about what your face actually needs (not just what sounds good on a paper) we’d love to hear from you. 🌹

Go ahead and book on in, we can’t wait to meet you!

Russian lips. Swedish lips. Cherry lips. Butterfly lips. Keyhole lips. Sweetheart lips. Hollywood lips. Cupid’s bow lips.

We’ve heard them all.

And honestly? We’re a little bored. 😏

Here’s the truth that no trend name tells you: your lips are the brief. Your anatomy, your proportions, your face — that’s what determines what’s possible and what’s beautiful. Not a label someone put on TikTok.

The reason you see so many lips out there that just look… off — overfilled, asymmetric, fighting the face they’re sitting on — is because someone tried to force a shape onto lips that simply weren’t built for it.

You cannot put a square peg in a round hole.

No amount of filler will change what anatomy won’t allow.

What we do at Sebastian-Rose is different. Every patient gets lips designed around them — their natural shape, their bone structure, their skin, their goals.

We know every technique there is.

We’ve mastered every shape that’s ever had a name, and plenty that haven’t.

But the most on-trend lip we’ll ever create is the one that looks like your best self — only better.

That’s not a trend. That’s craft. And it takes years.
