At Sedbury Barbers, our customers and local community have always been our top priority. From the very beginning, our aim has been to provide high-quality haircuts at fair prices and to create a welcoming place for everyone.

When we first started, the shop was run only by my younger brother, Hassan. As more people came to support us, the business grew very busy and waiting times became long. Seeing customers wait for hours for a haircut was difficult for us, especially knowing that many of you chose to stay and support your local barbershop rather than go elsewhere. That loyalty truly means a great deal to us.

Because of this, we added an extra member of staff so everyone can be served more quickly while still receiving the same top-quality service you expect from us.

Like many small businesses, we are now facing higher costs such as rent, electricity, and staffing. To continue operating in a fair and sustainable way, we are planning a very small price increase of just £1–£2.

Our intention has never been to be seen as an expensive or greedy barbershop — our goal is simply to keep serving our community honestly, fairly, and with the best possible service.

Before making this small change, we wanted to speak openly with our local community and sincerely thank you for the incredible support you continue to show us. Your patience, loyalty, and encouragement mean more to us than words can express, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

We will carefully read and consider all your comments. If most of you feel comfortable with this small increase, we will go ahead with it. If not, we will keep our prices as they are for now.

We will also make sure that prices will not be increased for our retired customers.

My beloved brother, it has been almost a month since you left, and we miss you more with each passing day. Every corner of our lives and our business reminds us of you.

You were always there for us. After our father passed away, you became our strength and our protection. You guided us, supported us, and helped us build our future. We are who we are today because of you.

Now that the war has ended and things are becoming normal again in Syria, you made the decision to return home. We understand your choice and respect it, even though it is very hard for us.

Your barber shop was more than a place to work — it was a place where people felt welcome, listened to, and respected. That same kindness is what you gave to us as a brother.

Please say hello to everyone for us and give our mum a big hug. Tell her how much we love her and miss her every day. We miss the kids so much too.

You will always have a place in our hearts and in every corner of our business. No distance can ever change that. May God protect you, bless your journey, and keep you safe. You are loved, always.💔

I’ll be away from 5–15 January for a short break after the festive rush.
The shop will be open as normal and the team will be happy to help.
