A lot of my annual lash clients are starting to appear, getting holiday-ready before they jet off. Not everyone wears lashes all year round—in fact, I only tend to have mine done when I'm going on holiday these days! Although there was definitely a time in my life when I wouldn't have been seen dead without them 😂

As a child, I was always coming up with business ideas. I'd walk around with my shiny little briefcase (the kind that originally came with pens, crayons and paints!) full of handwritten business plans. I can't remember ever planning a beauty business though — my ideas were usually things like opening an arcade, becoming an ice cream lady, or selling lemonade at the end of the garden. 😂
Looking back, the drive was always there.
Life took a different path for a while. Becoming a young mum and dealing with my mental health meant I put a lot of things on hold. But eventually, I found my spark again and discovered a passion for helping people feel confident and good about themselves.
I started with HD Brows, then lash extensions, lash lifts, and most recently brow lamination. It's been an incredible journey, but definitely not an easy one. There have been plenty of moments where I've questioned myself and wondered if I was doing the right thing.
Running a business while raising a family is hard. Behind every set of lashes and brows is admin, finances, stock orders, content creation, training, and long hours trying to build something you're proud of.
One thing I never expected was how much of the job would involve being a therapist while attending therapy myself. 😂
Beauty treatments are often about much more than lashes and brows. They're about having an hour to yourself, talking through your week, sharing good news, laughing, venting, and sometimes putting the world to rights.
I genuinely appreciate every single one of my clients. Many have become friends, and a lot of the time my job doesn't feel like work at all. It feels like catching up with a friend while helping them feel confident and beautiful at the same time.
I'm incredibly grateful for my family, my clients, and my little business that's continuing to grow. (The family definitely won't be growing any further though — I'm officially retired from having children, they cost far too much! 😅)

What will be growing is my treatment list, and I can't wait to share what's coming next.

I think that little girl with the business plans in her shiny briefcase would probably be pretty proud of where we ended up. ✨❤️
