Finally, today, after a long 2 year journey I was able to microblade this lovely ladies brows.

May 2024 - My client came to me wanting a natural looking microbladed brow. Years previously she had had her eyebrows enhanced by another artist. The brows were two totally different shapes, the colour was almost back ( with a blue undertone ) and were highly saturated with pigment. There was no way the skin could possibly hold any more pigment.

After an in depth consultation I explained these brows needed removing in order to create a softer more natural look. Between myself and we did a combination of 2 saline removal sessions and 4 laser sessions. This took time ( the skin had to throughly heal in between sessions ) and a lot of patience on my clients behalf.

This pigment has been stubborn and took some shifting 😫😳 Hannah & I agreed between us after the numerous saline / laser sessions we couldn’t lift any more pigment. This meant I didn’t quite have the blank canvas I wanted to work with but with delicate microbladed hair strokes and a softer colour to complement the skin tone these brows ate a huge improvement.

It’s certainly been a journey for my client, her patience has been amazing and a massive learning curve …. Always do your research with any treatment you are considering.

Microblading and Nanoblading are both semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement techniques, but they differ in the tools used and how the pigment is implanted.

Microblading -

* Uses a blade made of tiny needles to create shallow cuts that mimic eyebrow hairs.
* Produces a natural-looking result, especially on people with normal or dry skin.
* On oily skin, the strokes can sometimes spread or blur as they heal.

Nanoblading -

* Uses a cosmetic tattoo machine with a very fine needle.
* Creates individual hair-like strokes without making blade cuts.
* Often preferred for oily, sensitive, mature, or previously tattooed skin because the strokes tend to heal more predictably.

A rare Saturday off for me, enjoying breakfast with the hubby, before heading to out to pick my boy up from school.

I’ve had lots of comments about my skin recently, including one from a friend this morning who I bumped into … so I thought I’d share while I’m bare faced and make up free …. No editing, no filters and no toxin in my face for over 8 months

Last week I had a visit from the council to the clinic to ensure I am working to the current byelaws for tattooing and that all safe working practices, infection control procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements were being consistently adhered to in accordance with current clinical and health and safety guidelines.
