Walking on Air Foot Care

Autumn is here. Top Tip for comfortable feet - wear socks that are made from natural fibres such as wool or cotton, which warm your feet but still allow them to breathe. For footwear, choose insulating materials, such as leather, that don’t get damp easily but still allow your feet to breathe.

Tip 1 - for heading off athlete's foot. Wash your feet every day and dry thoroughly between the toes. Never cream between the toes as this can encourage the fungus.

Is this you when you're trying to cut your nails? If using a grinder proves a bit dicey gives me a shout and I'll trim them up and give your feet a moisturising massage to boot!

I've seen a few people recently with infected ingrowing toe nails like this one. Several have taken antibiotics but it hasn't cleared it up. The bit many don't do however is keep the toe cleaned and covered, so it continues to remain infected. Cleaning and dressing the toe daily can make a big difference to the time it takes to heal.

If you know anyone with nails like these (Ram's Horn) tell them not to feel embarrassed. Just give me a call and I'll get them back into shape. They will be walking on air in no time!
