‘A few weeks ago, a 30-year-old woman came to see me. She’d been keeping an eye on a mole for a while and, like so many of us do, had put off getting it looked at. When she finally came in and I examined it under my dermatoscope, I created a report ready to send away to dermatology, checking her history and details regarding the mole. she felt it had grown over the last year.

It Isn’t Always What You Expect...’

Head to the link in my bio to read my recent blog where I go into more detail about mole changes and how to check for them. UV damage accumulates over a lifetime, and it is never too late, or too early, to start protecting yourself - so take a look.

So much of what I do is centred around community 🤍

Whether that’s within my clinics, through .pro or within I truly believe there is so much value in creating spaces where people feel supported, encouraged and comfortable.

One of the most powerful things in business and in this industry is being around the right people. Having communities where you can share ideas, ask questions, learn from others, celebrate wins together and genuinely support one another is invaluable.

That’s exactly why peer to peers, networking and platforms like Blemish Pro are so important to me. Bringing practitioners and business owners together to connect, learn and grow in a supportive environment is something I’m incredibly proud to be part of.

So if you follow me not just for blemish removal, but because you’re part of the beauty, aesthetics or clinic world yourself, do take a look at what Blemish Pro or The Delforge Group could offer you and your business/clinic too ✨

And as always, if you’d like to know more, please do get in touch with myself or our teams 🤍

The truth is, if something affects your confidence, catches on clothing, makes you feel self conscious or is something you think about every single day… it matters.

Blemish removal isn’t always about wanting “perfect” skin. Often, it’s about comfort, confidence, and no longer feeling bothered by something that’s been frustrating you for years.

Whether it’s a skin tag, mole, milia, Seb K, thread vein or another benign blemish, you deserve to feel comfortable in your skin 🤍

Such a wonderful result from this mole reduction treatment ✨

The mole has completely flattened down and now you can’t tell the blemish was ever there, which was an amazing outcome for my client and something they were so happy with.

When suitable and medically checked, mole reduction can make such a difference not only aesthetically, but also to confidence too ☺️

There are a multitude of reasons why blemishes can occur. Some appear seemingly for no reason at all, while others can be linked to things such as hormonal changes, like pregnancy other links may be ageing, sun exposure and skin type.

One of the most common questions I’m asked in clinic is:
“Can I stop them from coming back?”

Some blemishes can be treated and never return, while others may reappear over time depending on the underlying cause.

Unfortunately, there isn’t always a definitive way to completely prevent certain blemishes from developing, which is why professional assessment, realistic expectations and ongoing skin awareness are all so important.

What’s most important is knowing that you do have options when it comes to safely managing and removing them 🤍

If you’re looking for a blemish removal clinic, sterility should absolutely be on your checklist.
With treatments like diathermy, skin is being worked on directly, so the standards of hygiene and infection control in a clinic are incredibly important. It’s something that should be openly discussed, not overlooked.

I take real pride in working within a fully sterile clinical environment, taking extra steps to ensure the safety of every client who walks through my door.

So it’s always lovely to hear this reflected back in reviews 🤍 and reassuring to know clients notice and value these standards just as much as I do.

The start of May marks skin cancer awareness month. For me, this is about so much more than just reminding you to wear SPF every day. It’s about education, awareness and knowing what to look out for and most importantly, checking your skin regularly.

Before I ever introduced mole checking into my clinic, it actually started with my training through . This is an incredible initiative that educates professionals like myself and others in the beauty industry to recognise potential warning signs on clients and confidently, but sensitively, recommend seeking advice.

From there, it felt like a natural and important step to introduce my mole checking service using Map My Mole. This allows me to send detailed images and information directly to a dermatologist, who can assess and advise within a short timeframe.

Through this service, clients have discovered:
• Pre-cancerous blemishes
• Moles requiring medical removal
• And also many completely benign blemishes

But the most important thing is that they were checked and where there was cause for concern, it was caught early and treated appropriately.

It truly is such an invaluable service and one I’m incredibly proud to offer within my clinic 🤍

The key difference when it comes to mole treatment is simple... Has it been checked and given the all clear?

I do not treat any mole that hasn’t been checked by a GP or dermatologist first. When I talk about ‘treating’ a mole, I mean reducing it down in size and flattening it for cosmetic purposes, but this is only ever done when it has been confirmed as safe.

If you haven’t had your mole checked yet, I can guide you through this using my Map My Mole service. This allows me to send detailed images and information directly to a dermatologist, with a report returned to confirm:

• What the blemish is
• Whether it’s of concern
• Whether it’s safe to treat or needs referral

One of the most important parts of treatment isn’t just the removal itself, it’s allowing your skin the time it needs to heal properly. Redness and scabbing are a normal part of the process and these need time to settle before things like holidays, sun exposure and big events.

It’s also important to know that some blemishes may require more than one treatment to achieve the best result. This depends on the type, size and depth of the blemish, as well as how your skin responds.

This doesn’t mean you can’t have treatment during summer, but it does mean we need to be a little more mindful with timing, aftercare and SPF.

Every client is different, which is why consultation always comes first. We’ll look at your skin, your blemish and your upcoming plans to make sure everything is done safely and at the right time.

If something has been bothering you, don’t leave it until the last minute, plan ahead and give your skin the best chance to heal beautifully ✨
