The Slow Revolution

Gorgeous woman-centred care to experience life at a deliberately healthy pace. Kinesiologist, Somatic Counsellor, Yin & Meditation Teacher. Was it a better time?

The Slow Revolution is the revolutionary practice of slowing down, living with mindfulness and presence, to accomplish more. As a woman who can remember a time of a world without the buzz of the internet and constant pings of mobile phones. I honestly don’t know, but I do believe our nervous systems and energy got more time and space to replenish and restore. The modern pace of life is quite frank

“I know what I need to be doing, I just can’t seem to do it”. I hear this a lot.

We can know that we need to drink more water, go for a lunchtime walk, eat the frog and post the damn insta post……and yet, we don’t do it.

Stress does that to us, hyjacks our ability to get things done. Start new things, stick to helpful habits.

Sometimes we just need to rest, sleep on it and go again tomorrow.

But sometimes we need to offer the body a sense of safety, security. Offer the nervous system opportunity to come down from high alert and create capacity again.

It never ceases to amaze me what becomes possible when we stabilise the system ♥️

Yin is my go to practice and having it at 28 degree warmth .practise.colchester is pure heaven 😇🥰

Having space to slow things down, get into your body and release held tension will always be one of my favourite practices ♥️

From the outside, it can look like you’re connected…
in the room, in the conversation, part of it all.

But during times of high stress, I notice how easy it is to feel…
separate.

Stress can quietly hijack your thoughts, your feelings, and the way you show up.

You might be stood right there —
with people you care about —
and still feel a million miles away.

Struggling to connect.
To others.
To yourself.

It can feel like invisible barriers come up.

And from here, it’s so easy to slip into pushing…
trying to do more, be more —
hoping it will bring you back.

But it doesn’t.
It often just creates more depletion.

If this feels familiar, I’d genuinely love to know…
have you ever felt like this, even when you’re surrounded by people?

Or if it feels easier, my DMs are always open

Tara ♥️

Sometimes doing the right thing
doesn’t feel easy.

Slowing down has looked like
sitting with a lot of emotion lately…
not rushing to fix it.

There’s wisdom in this.

I’m practicing trusting the process - is the work too.

Tara ♥️
