✨ Lets focus on the positives ✨

During the next 4 weeks, I’ve decided to set myself some small, personal goals that will hopefully help me keep positive and moving forward in the next lock down. Here are mine to maybe give you some inspo 💭

✨ Eat healthy, home cooked meals as a family which include the kids helping us as much as possible!

✨ Apply lip balm often and stop biting my lips (think it’s an anxious thing)!

✨ Potty train my little boy.

✨ Go for a walk EVERYDAY no matter what the weather.

✨ Purchase a new book and read for at least half an hour before bed time.

✨ Leave my phone upstairs once the kids are in bed and make time to catch up and spend time with my partner.

✨ Start a family picture album.

✨ Apply hair masks often and oil to help it grow.

✨ Keep on top of moisturising my body to keep my psoriasis at bay.

✨ And last but not least....you’re not Mary Berry in this lock down Elly and you do not need to bake everyday and then eat the cake...everyday 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m not putting any pressure on myself, family life can get in the way but as long as at the end of each day myself and my family are content, healthy, happy & have had a good belly laugh then I’ve succeeded 😌. Why don’t you get started on planning your lockdown goals!?

I’ve managed to fit in a lot of clients today, tomorrow & Wednesday. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to fit everybody in who was booked throughout Nov due to their treatment and the time needed between treatments. However, I’ll be back in full force in December to see your lovely faces 😘

As everybody now knows, a national lockdown has been put into place until the 2nd of December.
All clients booked in from now until Dec, will be contacted and I’ll try to accommodate as many clients as possible from now until Thursday next week - as my Facial treatments need to have a certain amount of time between each treatment, this won’t be possible for everybody unfortunately.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has helped to build my business and show my appreciation. It’s been an extremely tough year on everybody and it’s with a heavy heart I have to close my little business that I love very much for a short time...but not forever 💚.

Is anybody else feeling super dry since the cold weather has hit us all in full force?! 🥶🌬🌧

Here are some super easy tips to help avoid dry skin throughout the colder months...

✨ Keeping hydrated is ALWAYS important, not just in the warmer months. Keep your water bottles topped up and aim for 2 litres a day.

✨ Shower and bathe in warm water, not hot.

✨ Keep showers down to 5-10 minutes.

✨ Apply moisturiser to face and body after washing to lock in moisture.

✨ Stick to a skincare routine that includes using a gentle cleanser, moisturiser and exfoliate the skin 1-2 times per week.

✨Sunscreen everyday is SO important, even in the winter.

✨ Try to limit your use of Central Heating as this removes moisture from the air and from the skin - throw on a dressing gown and blanket instead! Or, invest in a humidifier to add moisture back into the air indoors.

Following simple steps can really help rid of mild dryness on the face and body. If you’re experiencing excessive itching, scaling & sore patches caused by dry skin please give your GP a call as it may be something such as eczema or psoriasis which needs a little more attention.
