Struggling with osteoporosis? Been on a calcium supplement? Watch how easily these bones break after having been simmered to remove the collagen.
Bones are made of more than just minerals. They are 30% collagen by weight. Without it, they fall apart in your hands.
This is what’s happening silently in so many bodies today because of -
⚠️ Collagen-lacking diets (lack of building blocks)
⚠️ Poor movement (no signal to regenerate)
⚠️ Avoiding sunlight (no trigger for collagen synthesis via Vit D)
Real prevention starts with restoring what we’ve lost - through REAL foods, movement and nature.
Stuck in a low-carb loop? 🔁
You lose the weight, but the moment you have a bit of fruit or a few extra carbs, it all piles back on. It’s frustrating, and it’s usually because your metabolism is still broken.
Low carb changes your fuel, which is great, but it doesn’t necessarily fix a sluggish metabolic engine - your LIVER. If your liver is nutrient-depleted, your body can’t process fuel properly—it just panics and stores it as fat.
To stop the yo-yoing, you need to support the liver with the actual “bits” it needs to function: Choline, B-Vitamins, Chromium and Copper.
The most straightforward way to get them? eat Liver 🥩 regularly.
If you can’t stand the taste of fresh liver, a high-quality alternative is Dr. Gus Liver Capsules. Give your liver the exact nutrients it needs without the fuss and make your results permanent.

Veggie days are always a bit of a marathon in our cottage kitchen! 😅
Once the bones have been simmered down, and the broth is filtered and ready, it’s time to add flavour to it! And that means tackling 30kg of fresh, organic carrots, onions, and celery.
We get all of this from the Organic Delivery Company, who keep us stocked up and always deliver in bulk cardboard boxes with minimal packaging. 🌍💚
We don’t use any industrial prep machines here at DR GUS. Every single piece of veg is washed, peeled, and chopped by hand before it gets plunged into the giant stockpot to infuse all that natural goodness into the plain bone broth. It’s a proper labour of love and takes a fair bit of elbow grease, but you really can taste the difference when things are made slowly and properly.
Forget expensive kitchen gadgets.
The ultimate pro-tip for crystal clear bone broth? Hire a local Bone Broth Gnome. 🧙♂️✨
Jung Eun has officially reached "garden gnome on a stool" status to ensure every drop is perfectly filtered. 10/10 would recommend for all your magical elixir needs.
Personal observation: I used to feel like drinking more water just meant more bathroom trips. Since training consistently with Patterns, hydration feels different. It’s made me wonder whether hydration is only about intake, or also about movement quality, tissue loading, and how the body distributes fluid. Since fascia is connective tissue influenced by hydration and mechanical load, maybe better movement helps the body manage water more effectively.

This is where eating nose-to-tail comes in: using a wide variety of cuts of meat, bones, organs & fat for cooking.

There is honestly no better sight than a spotless kitchen at the end of the day. 🧼✨
When we say our products are made in our cottage kitchen, we mean it.
Every single batch of our bone broth, beef organ capsules, and tallow skin balm is crafted right here. It means a fair bit of elbow grease, a mountain of stainless steel to scrub, and absolutely zero shortcuts.
Making proper, organic nutrition from scratch takes time, care, and a whole lot of hot soapy water—but every scrub is worth it.
Seeing all the pots and bowls shining and stacked means another batch of real, honest nutrition is ready for you. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

It’s not muscle or fascia. It’s muscle through fascia.
Muscle proteins create force.
Collagenous proteins transmit and support it.
That’s the myofascial system.
Day 2 at Project Function and my head is absolutely spinning. The HBS1 course is next level—the amount of information we’re absorbing is incredible.
Managed to get sorted with a quick run to for some essentials. Keeping it simple with kefir, kombucha, and some tallow crisps to keep the brain fog at bay while grafting.
Quick bit of sun by the pool to reset, then straight back into it.
