Not every ache means injury, but your body usually gives you warning signs before a bigger problem develops.
Recovery isn’t just for injured athletes—it’s what helps keep you training consistently.
Which sign do you notice most often? 👇

Be honest… which one are you? 👀
Most runners know they should deal with a ni**le early.
Most runners also wait until it starts affecting training 😅

📅 A few appointments available this week if you’ve got any aches, pains or ni**les that need looking at.
7 miles done this morning 🏃♀️✅
Not every run feels amazing, but getting out the door and getting it done is what counts.
Now for a coffee, some good food and a bit of recovery before another week begins ☕️
If your body is feeling the effects of training, work or just life in general, I still have a few appointments available this week.
Drop me a message if you’d like to get booked in 📩

People often ask what I do for recovery as a sports massage therapist.
The answer is usually the same things I tell my clients 😅
🏃 Movement
💪 Strength work
🥗 Eating well
😴 Sleep
🦵 Recovery
Sports massage can help, but the little things you do consistently make the biggest difference.
Runners are honestly some of the worst for ignoring warning signs 😅👀
Most injuries don’t just appear overnight.
Usually your body’s been trying to tell you something for weeks first.
A recovery day every now and then won’t ruin your progress… promise 😂

Sports massage helps. A lot.
But recovery is usually a mix of:
✨ movement
✨ strength work
✨ sleep
✨ recovery
✨ consistency
One massage every few weeks won’t magically undo everything your daily habits are doing 👀😅
The people who improve quickest are usually the ones doing the little things consistently.

Since the weather has taken a turn for the better, this is a great time to remind everyone that I am MASCED accredited in Melanoma & Skin Cancer Early Detection 🧡
You might wonder what this has to do with sports massage… but as someone who works closely with skin every single day, it’s so important to be aware of changes, unusual marks or anything that doesn’t look quite right.
During treatments I often see areas of the body that people can’t easily check themselves — especially backs, shoulders and backs of legs. This qualification means I can help spot potential concerns early and encourage clients to get anything suspicious checked by a GP or dermatologist.
Obviously I’m not diagnosing skin cancer, but having the knowledge to recognise warning signs and raise awareness could make a real difference.
Your health is always the priority 🤝🧡

Huge congratulations to Liam Kelly on completing the Edinburgh Marathon yesterday in an incredible 2:56:00 👏🏃♂️
To achieve that time in the heat was seriously impressive, but what makes it even more special is that Liam does all of his training by himself. His hard work, discipline and determination are amazing to see, and it’s been a pleasure supporting him along the way.
Super proud of you Liam — now enjoy a well-earned recovery!
