• The treatment can be a bit uncomfortable, however everyone has a different pain threshold. An anaesthetic cream is used before hand to help numb the lips. As well as this the filler used contains lidocaine so as the treatment goes on your lips will continue to numb.

• Results can last anywhere up to 12 months, usually with a top up around 6 months to keep the desired look.

• The most common side effects of lip fillers is swelling and bruising, redness and tenderness at the injection sites. After the treatment you will be given a care package including a lip shaped cool pack, arnica lip cream & a collagen lip mask. This can be used to help bring the swelling down and help with the bruising.

Also known as Hyalase, it is an enzyme that can be injected to break down Hyaluronic Acid in the body.

Dermal fillers are a man made Hyaluronic Acid, it is so important to have this on site in case of an emergency situation where the filler needs to be dissolved.

There are a number of steps we as practitioners take to ensure we don’t compromise the facial arteries, however, every bodies facial anatomy will vary.

In the event of a Vascular Occlusion the quicker you can treat the area the better the outcome for the patient.

A vascular Occlusion is where filler is injected directly into an artery or near an artery and compressing it. It slows or stops the blood flow which in more serious cases can lead to tissue death and necrosis.

Although rare, it’s important every practitioner has Hyaluronidase in their kit in the event that dermal filler need to be dissolved.

It can also be used for an elective dissolving procedure where by the patient wants the dissolve current lip filler.
