🤔 Who thinks we should all get a few dedicated wellness days each year from our employer?
Imagine this...
Instead of ringing in sick, you ring in and say:
"I'm taking a wellness day today." 💚
A day to reset, recharge and look after your mental and physical wellbeing.
That could mean:
🌿 A spa day
🔥 A
🧖 A sauna session
⛳ A round of golf
🎾 A game of tennis
🎨 An arts & crafts workshop
🚶 A walk in nature
🧘 Yoga or meditation
More employers are beginning to recognise that prevention is better than burnout. Investing in staff wellbeing can reduce stress, improve morale, strengthen workplace relationships and increase productivity.
Healthy people make stronger teams.
If you had the choice, would you support 2–4 paid wellness days a year?

✨ "I feel like myself again." ✨Instant feedback... (see photo in comments). Lindsey was happy for me to share this message following her Starboy experience.
It was a genuine privilege to help her relax, unwind and help her feel like herself again—just in time to enjoy the school holidays with her daughter. ❤️
When life gets busy, we often spend so much time looking after everyone else that we forget to look after ourselves.
If you're feeling stressed, carrying tension, or simply need an hour to reset, I'd love to help.

✨ NEW DATE ! ✨16 AUG Meditation, Soundbath & Equine Therapy 🐴🌿Join us for a beautiful summer evening of healing, connection, mindfulness and relaxation in nature at Wagtail Equine Therapy CIC farm, Craghead - DH9 6FF.
🌙 Sunday 16th Aug
💷 £29pp
⏰ Session Times:
630pm (18 spaces)
Imagine a peaceful summer evening where you begin with a calming Starboy meditation, relax into a healing soundbath with Atusa 🎶, and then gently connect with the healing energy of horses in nature 🐴✨
The herd at Wagtail ranges from tiny and cute to giant and gentle, including rescue horses and ex-racehorses, each bringing their own unique personality and life experience to support wellbeing and guide people on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
Mollie, who will be delivering the horsey part of this therapeutic event, has a background in clinical and forensic psychology which she brings to her work delivering equine-assisted therapy at Wagtail Equine Therapy CIC.
Mollie having experienced the powerful impact horses can have on wellbeing from the age of 13, when she formed a life-changing bond with her first horse Jack, she is passionate about using that understanding to support others. She now focuses on helping people build confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing through structured equine therapy sessions.
This all aligns with the Starboy ethos, therapy and retreats I offer, and beautifully complements the work myself (Starboy) and Atusa AKA Just a Girl and her Gong do; bringing people together in a spiritual, connective and therapeutic way in healing settings and environments 🌳🌿💫
These sessions on Saturday 16 AUG will be purely meditation, soundbath and therapy/relaxation and mindfulness in and around the herd, following your meditation and soundbath 🌿
During the experience we will:
🐴 Connect with the healing horses
🪶 mindfully groom the horses
🚶♀️ Walk with them in nature
💫 Relax, reset and reconnect
✨ No riding involved — just peaceful therapeutic connection ✨

When the floodgates open... let them. ❤️
As Ive mentioned on posts & in circles before, there's no set pattern for when emotions arrive or when they need to be released.
I think today was my turn.
Three times this morning I've found myself with tears in my eyes.
The first was thinking about my son, Ben. They weren't only tears of sadness, but tears of pride. After writing my previous post, those emotions naturally surfaced about.
The second came about 1 hour later, when I read the news about the passing of football legend Kevin Keegan. I don't really follow football these days, but as a kid I was a huge Sunderland fan. Even so, I've always had enormous respect for both Sir Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan. My thoughts are with kevin's family, friends and everyone whose lives he touched. I hope Newcastle find a fitting way to honour him.
The third came while replying to a client who I know is about to face an incredibly difficult time. My heart truly goes out to them.
So, whether you're a man, woman or child, if you need a cry... that's okay.
Don't hold it back.
I see myself as a strong man in every sense of the word. If I ever need to protect someone, I do But strength isn't about never crying. It isn't about pretending you don't feel.
It means you care. It means you're human.
Personally, I believe that when we bottle up our emotions, our bodies carry that weight. Stress, tension, aches, pains and poor wellbeing can sometimes follow. Our body, mind and soul are deeply connected.
We don't need a scientific paper to tell us what many of us have experienced ourselves.
The moral of the story?
When you need a good cry... have a good cry.
Today wasn't a day of sobbing uncontrollably. It was simply three quiet moments this morning where a few tears reminded me that I'm still healing, still caring, and still human.
And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. ❤️

This post isn't just about mental health or su***de awareness. Turning pain in to Purpose ✨️
It's about reaching out to an old friend, a family member, or someone in your circle who may still be silently struggling. They could be living with the effects of domestic abuse, childhood trauma, bereavement, relationship breakdown, loneliness, or another significant loss.
Those of you who know me or have met me know one thing about me: I've tried to turn the devastating loss of my son, Ben, into something that helps other people.
That isn't easy. Some days are incredibly difficult. But I've always believed in looking for light, even in the darkest places. I've always been someone who tries to frame life positively, take care of my body and mind, and focus on what I can control.
This post isn't really about asking you to do that for yourself.
It's about asking you to help someone else take that first small step.
Invite them to join a community. Encourage them to try something new. It could be a Starboy group workout or , aerial yoga, Pilates, Zumba, a men's walking group, the gym, a safe space for women, a mental health support group, an art class, gardening, volunteering, or any activity that helps them reconnect with life and with other people.
Maybe you've already asked them before.
Ask again.
Without pressure. Without judgement. Just with kindness.
People change. Circumstances change. They may be in a very different place today than they were six months ago. You might reach them on exactly the right day.
That one conversation...
That one invitation...
That one first step...
Could become the beginning of something very special.
Sometimes changing a life doesn't start with fixing someone's problems.
It simply starts with letting them know they don't have to face them alone.

Words of wisdom ✨️Golf isn't just a game—it's a lifestyle. ⛳
Fresh air. Time in nature. Looking after your body. Staying strong in the gym.
It was a pleasure speaking with this gentleman about what keeps him motivated and why fitness plays such an important role in enjoying the life he loves.
Sometimes the best inspiration comes from hearing someone else's journey.
