Last week, the "Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Bill" passed its third parliamentary reading and has gained royal assent, becoming law in England.

This Act will now ban under 18’s from being able to receive cosmetic Botox or fillers and will also require a doctor, registered medical practitioner, or a health professional to administer such procedures where there is a medical need in under 18s – a requirement which is currently not in place.

Here at Always Aesthetics, we are delighted that this law has now been passed. We're passionate about the need for greater protection for young people who are being targeted, exploited, and harmed by unscrupulous practitioners. It truly is a fantastic step forward which will help safeguard the people most at risk to falling into unsafe hands.

It's great news to hear that the government have released a date to potentially reopen however, as this is very much dependent on the success of the vaccine and the transmission rates, we've decided not to open our booking schedule just yet.
