just wanted to make this post to update everyone on a few things for opening back up!

✨ i have put all the appropriate measures in place that i can in regards to Covid and can ensure that each treatment will be carried out as safely as possible.

✨ please make sure to arrive on time to your appointment. i run on a very tight timescale and can't guarantee that the whole treatment will be able to go ahead if you are late.

✨ please wait in your car/outside and do not enter the building until i have sent you a message to come in. this is to help avoid you coming into contact with anyone that you don't need to.

✨ i am having to enforce a strict cancellation policy and although i have been lenient with this in the past i will now be keeping on top of it as i just simply cant afford to have people cancel with no notice given. this is something that i feel i can't moan about as my clients are great and this doesn't happen too often but it's not fair on other clients or me as a business!
no show = full amount of treatment
will be charged.
less than 24hrs notice of cancellation given = there will likely be a charge for this.
more than 24hrs notice given = no charge.
*PLEASE NOTE* - i send reminder messages to all clients at some point the day/night before appointment. this message CANNOT be used as the chance to say wether you can make your appointment or not. it is simply a confirmation & if you need to cancel please do so 24hrs before appointment.

✨ payments - 2 options available are cash and bank transfer. if you choose to bank transfer this must be done before or at the end of your appointment. in the past i have been very lenient with clients leaving and paying me later that day/the next day etc but unfortunately this will not be the case anymore as it can be too hard to keep on top of.

✨ all tinting/lash treatments require a skin test & i will be in touch to arrange this before your appointment. no test = no treatment.

✨ i will send everyone a link to follow in order to fill out a consultation sheet and this must be done before you come for your appointment.

hopi ear candling!! 😁

what are hopi ear candles ?
- they are hollow tubes made of cotton which are soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs. The brand i use here at Limelight contain 3 stimulating scents .. lemongrass, eucalyptus and lime.

how do hopi ear candles work?
- when lit, the candle acts like a chimney, causing the warm air inside it to rise and create a vacuum at the bottom. This vacuum gently stimulates the ear, allowing the removal of excess wax and impurities.

what happens during a hopi ear candle treatment?
- you will be placed in a comfortable position on your side with your head supported by a pillow. The candle is gently placed just inside the ear and lit. The therapist holds the candle steady with their hands placed lightly over the ear. You may hear a slight crackling or fizzing noise as the candle burns and you may also feel a pleasant warmth around the ear. Each candle takes about 8-13 mins (per ear) to burn. The candle will burn within 4 inches of the end and has a plug inside to prevent anything going into the ear.

at Limelight, i include a relaxing facial massage as part of this treatment which includes particular attention to the sinus areas and lymphatic drainage.

what are the benefits of this treatment?
- it is a pleasant, relaxing & non-invasive treatment.
- helps to relieve headaches & migraines
- helps to relieve sinus congestion
- helps to relieve colds, flu & sore throats by clearing congestion in the ear and throat
- helps problems with snoring by easing congestion of the upper respiratory airways

*please note - there are a few contraindications (a reason or factor in which this treatment would not be suitable. ie certain medications etc) with this treatment that you may not be aware of. this will be discussed at time of booking.
