💫Style Tip of the Season💫
Wide leg trousers have so many benefits: they elongate the leg, give a fresh twist to your wardrobe, and are easy to dress up or down. But here’s the catch; getting the length right is crucial.
No one wants soggy hems. A wide leg won’t work with every shoe. A high heel and a trainer call for very different lengths so always consider your footwear before purchasing.
The wide-leg ankle grazer is ultra-modern, provided the length is right. It needs to look intentional, skimming neatly above the upper ankle, not flapping awkwardly around it.
And don’t forget: what looks great on a model might be too long or too short for you. Always check the leg length before ordering, and if needed, take the French approach - have them tailored to the shoes you’ll wear most. That’s the secret to looking truly chic.
Marks & Spencer currently have a great selection of wide leg trousers.
Women wear 20% of their wardrobe 80% of the time. If you would be interested in more style tips, understand which clothes are appropriate for your current lifestyle and suit your personality, then please contact me for an initial chat.

Shades of lavender and lilac are hitting the high street, and the fashion world is certainly testing us with this colour family that’s usually linked to the warmer months. The lighter hues lean very cool, which means they don’t suit everyone, but if you’re a lighter palette you’ll be thrilled - pastels like lilacs and lavenders are set to trend in a big way this season.
As we shift into the deeper tones, those with a stronger look will find them far easier to wear, adding depth and strength without losing that violet charm. And let’s not forget, purple is a unique colour, it appears in everyone’s palette, making it one of the most versatile shades out there.
So, what do you think - are you ready to dive into the violet trend?

✨ The Story of Colour Me Beautiful — Then & Now ✨
When my mum worked as a stylist, these were the books she used (swipe ➝). They were the foundation of modern colour analysis:
📖 Always in Style by Doris Pooser – introducing shape & colour.
📖 Colour Me Beautiful by Carole Jackson – the original “Seasons” system that changed the way we looked at clothes.
📖 Today’s Colour Me Beautiful – the updated tonal analysis system that I use with my clients, giving a more flexible and accurate palette for each individual.
It’s fascinating to see how style has evolved — but one thing hasn’t changed: the power of colour to transform how you look and feel. 💫
👉 Have you ever had your colours done? Were you a “season,” or are you curious about discovering your tonal palette?

✨ Textures to Love This Season ✨
Last year suede stole our hearts – and the good news is, it’s here to stay! This season, leather steps into the spotlight too, giving us even more ways to add richness and depth to our wardrobes. (Fun fact: suede is actually the reverse side of leather!)
Think earthy, natural tones rather than defaulting to black – they’ll feel softer, more modern, and easier to wear.
When I work with clients, I always show how you can embrace seasonal trends in a way that feels true to your style. Often, it isn’t about buying a whole new wardrobe – just adding the right piece, in the right colour, makes all the difference.
If you’d love some fresh inspiration, why not book a style session with me? Together we can explore colour, texture, and shape so your wardrobe feels both current and completely you.
📩 Drop me a message if you’d like to know more about seasonal updates or organising a group style evening with friends.

This gorgeous blouse is exactly right for anyone with a Warm Pallette.
The orange family of colours work really well with blue and teal hues. They are opposites on the colour wheel, so provide a complementary contrast, perfect if you have a strong look.
If your features are naturally softer, lean towards muted prints and fabrics that gently absorb the light. Materials like chiffon also help diffuse colour, giving a lighter, more delicate effect.
A printed top or blouse in flattering colours is a perfect way to update your autumn wardrobe, adding freshness to old outfits while doubling as a versatile layering piece.

Pantone is bringing teal back into the spotlight next season, or Fanfare, as they’re calling it. But remember, teal comes in a variety of shades, so find the one that suits you best.
As a general guide, the lighter your overall look, the lighter the teal you can wear confidently. Remember, you don’t have to find the exact shade of a trending colour; wear what suits you, not what fashion dictates!
Teal is surprisingly versatile and can even act as a neutral in your wardrobe. For example, Warm undertones? Try pairing teal with golden hues like coral. Cooler undertones? Look for pinks from your palette to complement it beautifully.
Do you already have something teal in your wardrobe? If not, accessories are a brilliant way to introduce the colour. Think shoes, bags, scarves or jewellery - small touches can make a big difference.
