5. My brother a birthday- went to his grave, he would have been 31

I get asked can you do darker skin and YES I always have, it’s just the way my clientele has turned out hence why I don’t have many pics of my Asian girlies.

Bridal makeup will always hold a special place in my heart 🤍

Long before the salon, before lashes and brows, I remember being completely fascinated by bridal beauty. I used to spend my pocket money on a £5 copy of Asiana magazine and sit for hours admiring the brides, the jewellery, the makeup… dreaming about being part of moments like that one day.

Over 15 years later, that same love for bridal is what led me into beauty full-time and eventually to creating Makeup & Beauty Bar — where I now have the privilege of looking after brides throughout their wedding journey, and pampering clients all year round.

Being trusted with someone’s wedding morning will never feel ordinary to me. It’s always such a special moment to be part of.

Still my first love. Always will be. 🤍

FEBRUARY ROUNDUP- valentines month and and my first month back to the salon after my surgery.
1. Chasing my bridal makeup dream- been busy with trials and glams. Lots of fun content coming on this glam plus others.
2. Roses from a long term client 🥺
3. Pmu brows and hybrid dye is getting popular again! Finally trying my new Luna needles and me likey..
4. My friend is the queen of hosting, she hosted the best galentines massive dinner and it was epic. I dressed up and felt cute.
5. The month I started baking
6. Feeling cute after my fresh maintenance apps I do for my self soft brow lami and lash lift.
7. Forever trying new meals and this was was a trust the process kind of meal- ramen for the first time and it was a hit!
8. I went to a clay class and made a cute cup! (Even tho the handle fell off)
9. The treatment that reminded me how much I adore lash lifting. P.s. only £52 rn or £85 with soft brow lami duo 🤯
10. Another dinner I tried and I am OBBSESSED
11. Did my first ever photo shoot around Edinburgh and I wanna do more!

Let’s see what March brings however I know it’s going to be an emotional one as it’s approaching when my brother passed away (2 years) and I have some upcoming hurdles but regardless I’m thankful to god for all blessings sent my way

This little girl grew up in a single-parent home, moving from place to place, learning far too early what it meant to be strong.

The baby in her arms is my little brother — my whole world growing up.

Life was heavy, but one thing never changed: I always wanted to help people.

For a while I thought that meant law… then counselling… until I discovered beauty.

And I realised something powerful — when women feel good on the outside, something shifts on the inside too. Confidence. Lightness. Relief.

As someone who was bullied for my looks and constantly told I wasn’t good enough, helping other women feel beautiful became deeply personal.

I didn’t start this business with money, connections, or an easy path.
I started with determination, empathy, and a refusal to let my past define my future.

Today, Makeup & Beauty Bar isn’t just about treatments — it’s a safe space.
A place to be looked after, listened to, and to leave feeling better than when you arrived.

Some people grow up fast because they have to.
I grew up determined to make life softer for others.

And deep down… I’m still that little girl who just wanted to help people.

The salon will be closed from 8th January 2026 while I recover from surgery 🤍
I’m expecting to return after around one month and will keep you updated along the way.

There are 8 working days left if you’d like to get booked in before I’m off.

Important booking info:
• Working hours resume as normal from 27th December
• An extra Monday has been added due to demand
• 31st December is makeup-only (NYE) – limited spaces still available
• No other treatments will be available on the 31st

February bookings are now open and already filling up.
