📢 Lanark Road Works: Important Update from SGN! 🚧

Bad news, folks! 🎉 Remember the SGN project on Lanark Road that was paused for resurfacing? Well, the Council's work is complete, and SGN is ready to roll! 👷‍♂️

Starting Monday, March 24th, SGN will begin phase one of their project, working through six phases over the next eight weeks. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:

Phase 1 (Approx. 1 week): 🅿️ Parking restrictions on Redhall View. Please be aware!
Phase 2: 🚦 Three-way temporary traffic lights at Lanark Road & Kingsknowe Road South.
Phase 3 (Approx. 1 week): 🚦 Three-way lights at Lanark Road & Dovecot Park, AND ⛔ road closure on Kingsknowe Park.
Phase 4 (Approx. 1 week): ⛔ Road closure on Kingsknowe Drive. 🚦 Three-way lights at Lanark Road & Dovecot Grove, AND ⛔ road closure on Arnott Gardens.
Phase 5 (Approx. 1 week): 🚦 Three-way lights at Lanark Road & Dovecot Grove, AND ⛔ road closure on Arnott Gardens.
Phase 6: 🚧 Lane closure on Lanark Road.

We know these roadworks will be disruptive, so please plan ahead. 🙏 Please plan your journeys accordingly!

Yet again temporary traffic lights at Lanark Road/Craiglockhart Ave 4 weeks 08.30-16.30 then 2 weeks 19.00-06.00 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

We will start resurfacing Lanark Road between number 22 and the Union Canal Bridge and the junction with Craiglockhart Avenue from Monday 27 January for six weeks. The work will also include pavement resurfacing and improvements to road drainage. Traffic lights and road closures will be in place during this time.

There is an update below from SGN on their roadworks in the Craiglockhart area - they say they are "progress well", but are "slightly delayed". 🤷

Our critical project in the Craiglockhart area is progressing well, however due to some unexpected engineering difficulties, our work has been slightly delayed, and we are a few weeks behind schedule.

We're sorry for the inconvenience this is causing, but ensuring everyone's continued safety is our number one priority and we're working as quickly as we can.

We are currently working to complete phase three of our project in Craiglockhart Avenue before Christmas. We'll provide a further update on our progress next week.
