Why is adding oil to your daily skincare routine a good idea?
- the oil creates an occlusive layer on your skin that prevents water loss from the skin
- the same layer makes all active ingredients from cosmetics that we applied earlier to be better absorbed
- natural vegetable oils are not packed with paraffin or other unnecessary ingredients that do not contribute to our care
- oils can be used for all skin types (yes, even oily!), you just need to choose the right oil or oil blend
-if you can't convince yourself of the oily consistency, just mix a few drops with your favourite cream!

Macadamia nuts come from Australia. They were called Kindal Kindal by Aboriginal Australians and were a delicacy. In the 1850s European botanists became interested in them. In 1890 the first plantation consisting of about 250 trees was established.
In 1882 a plant collector William Herbert Purvis took the nuts to Hawaii. He planted them there and started the first plantations on Hawaii. One of his original seedlings is still growing and bearing fruits there. Currently, Australia is the number one supplier of macadamia nuts in the world.

Some time ago I participated in a mindfulness workshop led by a psychologist where I learned a lot about how our brain works. I want to tell you about one thing that impressed me especially. Do you sometimes get bad news in the morning, argue with someone, or just something happens that drastically lowers your mood? Do you know that such situations can negatively charge us for up to 8 hours?! We often try to cheer ourselves up with small things, such as listening to our favorite song, meditating or eating chocolate. All those things work, the endorphin level rises and takes several minutes from our 8-hour pool. But we still have a lot on our plate, right? Sometimes we call or meet a friend and talk to her about what is bothering us. This can subtract even 2 hours from our pool! But do you know what is the ultimate way to get rid of a bad mood? 20 minutes of intense physical activity! The endorphins then soar upwards and break down all negative compounds in our brain. It is easier for us immediately. Of course, there are some catches. You have to like physical activity, because if you force yourself you will not succeed. It can be any physical activity, but it is important that it is intense for 20 minutes.
This is the knowledge I remember especially from the workshop. Pretty interesting huh? Let me know what you think and what is your favorite physical activity? Yoga wins for me.

Today I am exposing myself to you and writing about the genesis of Holi Skincare.
Mindful beauty. What's it about? A year ago I suffered from postpartum depression. It started six months after my daughter was born. It took me months and I felt we were losing ourselves completely. I needed something of mine that would be mine and mine only, not related to being a mother. I also needed to do something physically for myself to feel well-groomed. This is how I got interested in natural skincare. Before that, I was associated with the beauty industry for a long time, but only with its commercial side. Now I started looking for vegan cruelty-free natural cosmetics which would be friendly for breastfeeding women. It was not easy, and I tried various specifics with different results. But I gained something of my own, which made me happy and gave me a feeling of taking care of myself. This is how the idea for my own brand was born. I enrolled in a formulation school to expand my knowledge and here I am.
What is the purpose of this post? I'm not saying that skincare or any selfcare will help you get out of depression. Depression is a disease and needs professional help. But whether you're depressed or just having a bad day, whether you're overwhelmed or lost, you deserve to be treated well. Even if it's only 10 minutes alone in the bathroom. For me, that's what it was, and it helped me make many decisions that finally helped me overcome postpartum depression.
This is Mindful beauty. Mask once a week. Face massage while washing it. Three deep breaths over the sink after applying the cream. All the little rituals that we perform to improve our appearance and well-being. And what are your ways of mindful beauty?

Hi guys!
Despite the random snowfall, spring can be already felt in Scotland! I'm curious… How do the seasons affect your beauty rituals?
In winter, the warm air from radiators dries my skin. My face needs a lot of frequent hydration. In spring my skin really comes alive! It regains its natural glow, sometimes even too much, hence I use the powder. Then comes the Scottish Summer, which is 3 hot days 😅 when I use a cooling fan which my skin is also not a fan of. Spring means light, fast-absorbing formulas for my skin (my Facial Oil Serum is perfect then!🥰) and fast, refreshing nourishment. I definitely leave long baths and long rituals for the winter.

Today was This is the day that was created to strengthen relationships between women.

The graphic shows which part of Gua Sha should be used to massage particular parts of the face.
Always start from the bottom of the face and go up.
For the best effect use Gua Sha together with our Facial Oil Serum.
Repeat the massage of each part of the face 5 times per side.
Example: 5 times both sides of the neck then 5 times both sides of the jaw etc.
During massage apply light to medium pressure.
Massage the area around the eyes very gently.
Clean Gua Sha under a running water, avoiding hot water.
I will give more tips about facial Gua Sha massage in new video soon. If you have any questions this is a good time to ask, I will answer them in the video.

Gua Sha is a technique used in traditional East Asian medicine. Gua Sha is a part of acupuncture therapy, but not limited by law to acupuncture practice only. The Rose has a long history, dating back to ancient Sumer. Growing in gardens, it pleased the eye and nose, and its petals were used to stuff pillows, which gave a fragrance. In ancient Greece, the rose was named "Queen of Flowers". There are different varieties of rose, but today I want to share with you a little-known fact about the rosehip.
Rosehip oil was used in antiquity by, among others, Egyptians and Mayans for its healing properties. In the 1980s in Chile, a scientist named Dr. Fabiola Carbajal Montiel conducted a study on 180 people, which confirmed the healing properties of the oil. They were people with visible skin problems such as: sunburn, premature aging, burn scars, surgical scars and many other serious skin problems. The test consisted of applying the oil daily for at least 4 months. Effects were amazing! Even the very old, several dozen years old scars have improved.
Rosehip oil helps the skin to regenerate, making it great for scars, wrinkles and the effects of aging. It is known as dry oil because it is being absorbed very quickly.
