When I first started my business, I thought Brides booked me because they liked my hairstyles.

And whilst that’s definitely part of it, after seven years and hundreds of wedding mornings, I don’t think that’s the whole story.

Because when I read my reviews, Brides rarely talk about curling techniques, products or how many pins I used.

Instead, they talk about how they felt.

Calm.

Confident.

Reassured.

Understood.

They talk about finally feeling at ease after worrying whether their fine hair would hold a curl, whether their natural curls would behave, whether they’d still feel like themselves, or whether the style they’d dreamed of was even possible.

The hairstyle is important.

Of course it is.

But I think what Brides are really looking for is someone they trust to guide them through the process and make them feel like the very best version of themselves on one of the biggest days of their life.

Maybe that’s why so many of my Brides start following my work months, sometimes years, before they ever enquire.

The booking rarely starts when the enquiry is sent.

By then, trust has usually been building for quite some time 🤍

I’d love to know…

What was the most important thing to you when choosing your wedding suppliers?

Most people assume my job starts when I pick up a curling tong.

But some of the most important things I do on a wedding morning have nothing to do with hair.

One of the reasons I’m so passionate about creating a calm, organised wedding morning comes from my own experience as a bride.

When I got married, I had never worked a wedding morning as a bridal hairstylist. I had no idea what was supposed to happen, when things should happen, or how the morning should flow.

If I’m honest, I felt a little lost.

We were left to navigate the morning ourselves and I remember feeling rushed, unsure and slightly stressed because I didn’t really know what I should be doing next.

Then the photographer arrived. 🥰😘

Suddenly there was structure.

Guidance.

Reassurance.

Someone who knew exactly how the morning should flow.

I remember feeling an immediate sense of relief.

That experience has stayed with me ever since.

It’s one of the reasons that when I arrive on a wedding morning, I’m not just thinking about hairstyles.

I’m noticing how my bride is feeling.

Whether she’s eaten breakfast.

If the room feels calm.

Whether the timeline is working.

If anyone needs extra support.

Because beautiful hair is important.

But helping a bride feel calm, confident and looked after on one of the biggest mornings of her life is just as important.

The longer I’ve worked in weddings, the more I’ve realised that the suppliers who make the biggest difference aren’t always the ones providing the service.

They’re the ones providing the reassurance.

And that’s exactly the experience I want every one of my brides to have.

For years, I was terrible at taking time off.

I always felt like there was one more email to answer, always a wedding to say yes to or an opportunity I didn’t want to miss out on.

One more enquiry to reply to.

One more thing to prepare.

The reality?

There will always be one more thing.

Yesterday, whilst trying to clear my inbox before travelling,4 new bridal enquiries landed in my inbox. 🫶🥰💕

Amazing 🥰 ( forever grateful to be kept so busy )

But also proof that the to-do list never really ends.

It took me a long time to realise that running a successful business isn’t about being available 24/7.

Some of my best ideas come when I step away from work for a few days.

So whilst I’ll still be keeping an eye on things, this week I’m choosing to switch off a little more, have some fun and enjoy the freedom I’ve worked so hard to create ✨

Now… tell me I’m not the only person who deep cleans their entire house before going away 😂

One of the questions I hear most often from Brides is:

“But can my hair actually do that?”

And honestly, it’s such a valid question.
Hailey had naturally curly, finer hair and had fallen in love with a style she’d seen throughout my work. Like so many Brides, she wasn’t sure whether the look she loved would translate to her own hair.

That’s exactly why I place so much importance on the preview appointment.

Not just to trial the hairstyle, but to build trust.

To answer questions.
To make adjustments.
To create a plan.

So that by the time the wedding morning arrives, you’re not wondering if your hair will look how you imagined.
You already know.

Reading Hailey’s card after the wedding was a reminder that whilst the hairstyle is important, confidence is everything.

If you’re currently planning your wedding and wondering whether your dream hairstyle is possible on your hair type, l’d love to hear about your vision. Enquiries are open via the link in my bio ✨

Recently I’ve received a few enquiries that have genuinely stopped me in my tracks.

Brides who have changed their wedding date so I could be part of it.

Bridesmaids whose hair I styled years ago, reaching out when it became their turn to get married.

And every time it happens, I’m reminded of something.

People rarely remember just the hairstyle.

They remember how they felt.

The calmness on the wedding morning.

The reassurance when they weren’t sure what would suit them.

The excitement at their preview.

The way everything felt organised and taken care of.

As Bridal Artists, it’s easy to focus on creating beautiful work.

But moments like these remind me that the hairstyle is only part of it.

The experience is what stays with people.

And honestly, that’s one of the greatest compliments I can receive 🥹💕🫶

If you’re planning your wedding and looking for a Bridal Hairstylist who values the experience just as much as the finished style, I’d love to hear more about your plans. Enquiries are always open via the link in my bio ☺️💕🫶✨
