I now have a name, phone number, registration, location and have passed all of the information I have gathered to the police, including CCTV, dashcam footage, witness details, WhatsApp messages and other evidence.
If you are the person responsible for leaving my property without paying, I strongly encourage you to contact me and settle the outstanding balance. Otherwise, I will continue to cooperate fully with the police investigation.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shared my post, sent kind messages, offered advice, checked CCTV and helped gather information. The support from the local community has been incredible, and I'm truly grateful.
As a result of this incident, I have already arranged for additional security measures to protect my family, my clients and my business. Going forward:
All treatments must be paid for in full before treatment begins.
Clients will be asked to park on my driveway, where their vehicle will be covered by CCTV throughout their appointment.
An additional camera will be installed in my treatment room for security purposes. This will, of course, be switched off during any treatment that requires a client to undress or where privacy is appropriate.
It's sad that one person's actions have made these changes necessary, but unfortunately I have to protect my business, my home and my family.

Today I experienced something that has left me shocked and deeply upset.

A woman attended my clinic for approximately £370 worth of treatments. Throughout the appointment she was friendly, chatted about her life, husband and children, and gave every impression she was a genuine client.

At the end of the appointment, she appeared to try to pay using my Tide payment link, then said it wasn't working. She told me she was just going to her car to get her bank card.

Before leaving, she deliberately left her handbag inside my home, making it appear as though she would be coming straight back.

Instead, she ran to a silver Land Rover Discovery parked around the corner and drove away without paying. My next client, who was waiting outside, witnessed her run to the vehicle and leave at speed. She also captured the vehicle on her dashcam.

When I checked the handbag, it contained no purse, no wallet, no bank cards, no phone, no keys and no personal belongings. Apart from a lip gloss and lip balm in a side pocket, it was empty except for a nappy that had been used to pad the bag out. The bag has now
been handed to the police.

This happened in my own home, where my children were present. More than the financial loss, I feel upset that someone would abuse my trust and kindness in this way.

I have: ✅ CCTV from inside and outside my property. ✅ A witness who saw her leave. ✅ Dashcam footage of the vehicle. ✅ The phone number and WhatsApp conversation used to book the appointment. ✅ The handbag she left behind.

Everything has been reported to the police.

Unfortunately, because of this incident, I will now be introducing a payment in full before treatment policy and extra security measures will now be put in place. I hate that it has come to this, but I have to protect my business and my family.
