Before and after of a recent colour
This photo doesn't do it justice and is a cooler brighter blonde in real life.
We were aiming for a funky ash toned blonde to blend with her natural shade and make her hair a bit more modern and edgy.
While growing out her current haircut we want to keep the colour looking fresh until we get to a boxy blunt bob
In the meantime we will keep trimming the length, growing down the layers and style her hair to blend everything together
It won't be too long before we achieve the correct shape

Fresh colour cut and blowdry
A long overdue cut and colour for my regular loyal client who has been colouring her own hair while I've been off
Today I applied Goldwell Topchic 6RB all over the hair to create a richer tone
It is still slightly lighter and a little translucent in places as her hair used to be blonde and is still fairly porous
With the use of hair treatments at home and regular trims, the hair condition will be back to full health in no time
We are working towards a rich chestnut brown which I know is definitely achievable at our next appointment now the first professional colour has been applied
When going for big colour changes, especially from blonde to dark, the pigment has to be put back into the hair as it has been stripped when lightening and bleaching
The porosity of the hair is a huge factor too as it can either soak up all of the colour or wash all back out again due to damaged and missing cuticles
