☀️ A little heads up from my lash corner...

This Scottish heat has been amazing... just not for my lash glue. 😂

My lash adhesive i use works best within a certain temperature and humidity range (18-22° & humidity between 40-70%) and this weather has definitely decided to test me!

If you have an appointment over the next few days, could I kindly ask that you arrive at your appointment time only, rather than early? I may need a little extra time with each client while I battle the heat and keep your lashes looking their absolute best.

I'll always take the time needed to make sure your lashes are up to my usual standard... even if I'm having a tiny glue-related meltdown in my little corner. 🫠🤣

Our lashes weren't built for Ibiza weather, yet here we are. 😂

With temperatures climbing, your lash appointment this week might behave a little differently than normal.

Why? 🤔

Lash adhesive works best within specific temperature and humidity ranges. When it gets hotter and more humid:

✨ The glue can cure faster than usual or just not cure at all 😭
✨ Retention may not be quite as perfect as during cooler months
✨ Sweat and natural oils can build up quicker around the lash line
✨ Excessive rubbing, wiping your face, or constantly touching your lashes can lead to premature shedding (DO NOT TOUCH YOUR LASHES 😂😭)

Before your appointment:

💧 Stay hydrated
💨 If possible, avoid arriving overheated after a long walk in the sun
🧼 Arrive with clean lashes free from SPF, makeup and excess oils
❄️ Give yourself a few minutes to cool down before your treatment

After your appointment:

☀️ Avoid excessive heat exposure where possible (wear your sunglasses )
🏊‍♀️ Be mindful of swimming, hot tubs and saunas
🧼 Continue washing your lashes daily (yes, even in hot weather!)
🙅‍♀️ Resist the urge to pull, pick or rub them when you're sweaty (blink on a tissue if they sting, it could be down to the sweat going in your eyes affecting the glue)
💨 Use a lash fan or cool setting on a hairdryer after cleansing (always to avoid stickies)

You may notice your natural lashes shedding a little quicker too. Warmer weather often means we're more active, producing more oils and sweat, which can affect retention.

The good news? Proper aftercare still makes the biggest difference. ❤️

So enjoy the sunshine, wear the SPF, drink the iced coffees & cocktails (no judgement its our summer 😉)and let me worry about the lashes. ☀️🫶
