My beautiful work bestie ❤️ fresh brows last night after we both worked 9 hours flat out🤣. We are always leaving ourselves till last, making everyone else look fab! 🤣.

As an aesthetic nurse, I’m more than happy saying no! ❌

▫️No to over-treating when a subtle approach would look better.

▫️And no to anything that doesn’t feel safe, appropriate or in your best interests.

I’ve never built my business on saying yes to everything! Despite being, often, fully booked - saying no comes easily to me! Typically my patients value honest advice, clinical judgement and my knowledge in knowing when not to treat.

Sometimes the best result comes from doing less. Sometimes it comes from waiting. Sometimes it comes from choosing a completely different treatment route.

July is Hyperpigmentation & Melasma Awareness Month, so let’s talk about something I see in clinic all the time…

▫️Dark patches
▫️Uneven tone
▫️Pigmentation that seems to fade, then suddenly comes back again

Melasma and hyperpigmentation can be incredibly frustrating because they’re not always quick or simple to treat ❌

They can be influenced by things like sun exposure, heat, hormones, inflammation, certain medications and even previous skin trauma!

✨And this is why I’m so passionate about proper skin consultations ✨

Pigmentation isn’t something we should just throw products or treatments at and hope for the best. We need to understand what type of pigmentation we’re dealing with, what may be triggering it, what your skin can tolerate and how to build a realistic plan

Last weekend, I completed an Ironman swim!!

For me, it wasn’t about beating anyone else. It was about showing up, staying disciplined, trusting the process and finding resilience when things felt uncomfortable!

And the funny thing is, those are the same lessons that have helped me build my clinic ✨

Swimming, genuinely, makes me a calmer clinician. Looking after my health helps me look after my patients. Time with family and friends reminds me of why I work so, so hard - to a fault at times!

In clinic, I’ve never wanted to chase trends, followers or be the loudest voice in the room…

For me, it’s about people.

Listening properly!
Being honest!
Creating safe, natural results that help people feel like themselves again!

Success isn’t just about building the biggest business.

It’s about building a LIFE that feels balanced, fulfilled and aligned with your values

And if Ironman has taught me anything, it’s this:

And no, it’s not because I’m pushy with treatments! It’s actually the opposite!

I listen to what the patient wants and what they hope to achieve with their skin. No one treatment can address all skin concerns so a full consultation with a bespoke holistic plan is what I’ll recommend to get the results.

Combining different treatments together is where we can hit a real sweet spot with our results! The commitment comes from patients in their investment and our skill as practitioners and you can take as long as you need to get there .

I’ve achieved a lot in my life - but one of the things I’m genuinely most proud of is being The Nurses Network Regional Lead for the North East 💛

I’m proud of where I come from. I’m proud of the talent, graft, warmth and straight-talking honesty we have up here. And I absolutely love being able to help create a space where nurses, medics and practitioners can come together, learn, grow, ask questions, build confidence and feel supported.

Because this industry can be amazing… but it can also feel lonely at times.

That’s why TNN - ‘The’ inclusive community of medical injectors matters so much to me.

The events and the education are all incredible! But it’s also about community. It’s about empowering other medics, sharing knowledge, opening doors, and reminding people that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own!!

To be able to champion that in the North East is something I’ll never take lightly.

Big things are happening up here and I’m very proud to be part of it ✨

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds me exactly why I’m so passionate about education, anatomy and continuous development within aesthetics!!

I was incredibly fortunate to be invited to the Merz Aesthetics Anatomy Masterclass Surgical Sculpture Day in Manchester, learning alongside some fantastic colleagues and four leading plastic surgeons.

What made the day so valuable was that we weren’t simply being taught anatomy, we were challenged to demonstrate it. Working from skeletal structures, we built the anatomy layer by layer, identifying key structures, discussing their function, and linking that knowledge directly back to aesthetic practice, treatment planning, safety and patient outcomes.

To be able to ask questions freely and learn from experts of this calibre was both humbling and inspiring!✨

A huge thank you to Mr Dalvi Humzah and Ms Nathalie Cain, as well as Surgical Sculpture’s Thomas Pidgeon and Francis Peart, for such an insightful and immersive learning experience!

Days like this don’t just improve practitioners, they ultimately improve patient care. And that will always be what matters most to me 💛
