Meet Charlene Higgins

Our new Hair Stylist at our Gillingham spa

Some of you may know Charlene, as she used to work at Hidden Depths.

With over 31 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, Charlene brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and passion to every client she welcomes into her chair.

She trained at Salisbury College while completing her apprenticeship in Gillingham, building strong foundations that have supported a successful career across salons in Dorset, Wiltshire, and Somerset.

Charlene enjoys all aspects of hairdressing, with a true passion for hair colour. From subtle enhancements to complete transformations, she takes pride in helping her clients look and feel their very best. Seeing someone leave the salon with confidence and a smile is what continues to inspire her every day.

Committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, Charlene has continuously developed her skills through advanced colour training, colour correction courses, and bridal hair workshops.

Her dedication ensures that every client benefits from both experience and up-to-date techniques.

Outside of the salon, Charlene is a devoted wife and mum to two boys who are her world. She loves cooking from scratch, spending quality time with family and friends, and making the most of life’s simple pleasures.
With personal experience of family members on the autistic and ADHD spectrum, Charlene brings a compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to every client, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

We are looking for models today for piercing training (lobes, helix or nose). Supervised by an experienced piercer. We use the Inverness piercing system. Reduced charge of £10 due to training. Models needed at 11.15, 11.30 and 11.45 in our Gillingham salon.

Kara is coming in for some KIT days on the 4th April and the 20th and 27th June.

She will be doing microneedling on those days, as we know some of our clients are missing their microneedling fix!
