After getting to know each other, we begin with all things theory. While this may not be the most exciting part of your day, it is arguably the most important part of your journey in becoming a nail tech. Knowledge quite literally is the key to success, and here at Supernova Nails & Training Academy we prioritise nail health above everything 🤍

Your practical session begins with self practice which I believe is crucial to your practice before taking tools or products to anyone else’s nails! Afterwards, a full Builder Gel (BIAB) application will be carried out on your model 🥰

The assessment is essentially ongoing for the full duration of the course but I like to remind my students that I’m there to help and guide where needed ❤️

Upon completion, you will receive an industry recognised qualification which is accredited by , this will allow you to gain relevant insurance to start taking on clients 💅🏽

things I wish I knew as a beginner nail tech 💅🏽

Hindsight is a great thing so here are a few important things I wish I knew as a beginner nail tech 🤍
1. Practice makes perfect
2. You don’t need to be fully booked to be successful
3. Invest in high quality products, tools and equipment
4. Never stop learning
5. Connect with other nail techs in the industry

Starting out can be tough especially when you’re doing it alone and don’t have anyone to give you advice so my most important piece of advice is always be kind to yourself and don’t put too much pressure on yourself!!! You get out what you put in so hard work will always reflect 🤍
