We are looking for someone to join our team!!

Moco began in 2008 and in that time we have moved to bigger premises and become a busy and established business in the Shawlands area. We have worked hard as a team to build a business and reputation we are proud of.

We are looking for a team player, with an enthusiastic, friendly and professional manner with a willingness to work hard.

This would be a self employed/ rent a chair position available on a full or part time basis where you have the freedom and flexibility to build your own business within our premises.

Experience is necessary, you would need to be up to date with techniques in balayage, highlighting, colour melts and comfortable with blow drying, waving and cutting.

This clients hair is tinted on the darker areas and she has some old lights round the bottom, we wanted to give her a really lived in and blended feel that is a gradual lightness towards the ends, big job, but worth it ❤️

This client often colours her own hair at home which has resulted in warmer roots and some patchiness in colour, she isn’t to keen on being very light but wanted something to give it a subtle sun-kissed feeling, but still with some warmth. Full root colour, foilyage and toned with Wella’s new shinefinity range…the shine from these colours is UNREA

So finally the day has come, after 2 long years of being legally required to wear masks in the salon, Monday see’s that legal requirement come to an end…. feels a bit strange right? I fully understand that this won’t be welcome news for everyone and there will be people who still feel very anxious about this. I myself have not yet completely decided how I feel about it, don’t get me wrong I’ve hated it and it’s been hard, but you get institutionalised in them and I have my own feelings of anxiety around coming out of them. So In saying all of that, I will be completely guided by whatever you all individually feel comfortable with, if you arrive in the salon and your wearing one I will take that as a cue that you would like me to wear one as well and that’s absolutely no problem. I’ve missed seeing everyone’s smiling faces, but it’s been a long road and I know that’s it’s not something that people will be able to change on overnight, so let’s keep each other right ❤️ I hope this all sounds ok with everyone and I will see you all soon. The power of a good haircut and a colour melt!! Colour melts are two different colours seamlessly blended together, in this case one colour at root to cover grey blended in to a beautiful illumina red/copper tone for pure shine 🤩 Can also be used to blur out highlighting lines. All my clients know I’m quite passionate/ obsessed with a colour melt 😁 my favourite thing to do 😍😍 it’s the cherry on top. Xx

Well that’s a wrap for me for 2021, what a year, I didn’t think anything could top last year, but this has been one of the most difficult years professionally and personally. But at the heart of the difficulties is a job that I still love after 32 years, I know that is a gift ❤️ it’s been so hard to do the job and provide the service I would like to this year with all the close contacting, constant cancellations and having to move so many appointments around, for that I’m so sorry 😢 Your patience, loyalty and understanding has meant so much to me, I can honestly say I don’t think I would have made it through this year without the support, kindness and wonderful conversations you all bring to me 🥰 thank you to all of you and all I can hope is that next year brings a more settled and positive time for us all. Time now to focus on my family for a couple of weeks ❤️ wishing you all a merry Christmas and hopes for a better 2022 for us all ❤️❤️ see you all on the other side.

My resident blonde bombshell Sue ❤️ one of my longest standing and regular clients I always look forward to seeing her……. she is a beautiful person with fabulous hair. When you like to be this blonde you have to really take care of your hair, we use illumina colour on her roots, which in my opinion is the most beautiful colour on the market, but Sue also does the leg work to keep her hair healthy, using good products and regular visits. 🥰
