Let’s Talk Brow Lamination & Skin Sensitivity

Recently, I trialled a new lamination system on myself. One that’s really popular in the industry and used by loads of other techs. My patch test was fine, but during the treatment I felt stinging almost instantly. By the end, the skin around my brows was red, sore, and stayed sensitive for hours.

Even though I’ve done countless safe, successful laminations, this was a reminder that not every system suits every skin- even mine.

To help prevent this from happening to you, I wanted to share a few key things to be aware of when it comes to sensitivity and lamination.

💥 What to Look Out For:
• Stinging or tingling during treatment
• Redness or shiny skin after
• Soreness or lingering sensitivity for up to 48 hours

🧠 Why It Happens:
Even if your patch test is clear, reactions can still happen, especially if:
• You’ve recently used retinol, exfoliants, or acne treatments
• Your skin is sun-exposed, dry, or extra sensitive
• The formula is simply too strong for your skin (this is what happened in my case)

🤞🏼 My Promise to You:
If you ever feel even a slight sting- tell me, straight away. It’s never awkward. I’ll adjust immediately to protect your skin and make sure you’re comfortable throughout.
Safety > results- always.

✅ What You Can Do:
• Avoid skincare actives (like AHAs, BHAs, or retinol) for 5–7 days pre-appointment
• Let me know about any changes in your skincare routine
• Reach out post-treatment if anything feels off- I’m always happy to help

Skin safety > Insta brows 🤍

Reactions like this are rare, but I always put skin safety first💕thank you for trusting me, your skin and your results both matter sooo much to me🫶🏽
