This was not as straightforward as it looks - there was some sneaky green direct dye lurking on the surface from a while ago, so after a full head tint we went back in to balayage some pieces to get that lift and vibrancy. Bit of a faff but 100% worth it for these results!

So Eilidh has had blue hair for a few years now but decided she wanted to go red - pretty much the opposite end of the colour spectrum 😬 First up we tried to remove as much of the blue without compromising the condition of the hair too much (thank you ) before applying a red tint on the natural root (she wanted to start moving away from bleach). As the tint washed out, it bled into the blue ends making them purple which looked kinda terrifying but it was actually helping us in the right direction! Final step was to colour the whole thing with in a custom mix of deep reds to get this super shiny glossy result. A good exercise in trusting the process!

This was one of those transformations that made me go ‘F**K I LOVE MY JOB AND I LOVE THE POWER OF HAIR!’
But seriously, was Ailsa not born to have this hair?!
