Congratulations to Dean & Gregor who both completed their courses with us.

Dean studied for his SVQ Level 2 & Level 3 Barbering whilst Gregor studied for his SVQ Level 2 & will soon be completing Level 3 in the next couple of months.

Both of these guys have worked so hard & are going to be missed by everyone at the Scottish Barbering School.

We've had a great time with Dawna & Vicky, 2 people from different backgrounds come in for a 2 week bootcamp and it's been great fun helping them.

Dawna came to us for a 2 week Barbering Course & with no experience.

Dawna works for The House Project Fife, she completed a 2 week intensive course.

The purpose of Dawna attending the Acadamy was to gain the skils snd knowledge to be able to offer the young people within her project haircuts. The project are focusing on wellbeing this year and given the increse cost of living the cost of a haircut can be unaffordable to some young people.

Vicky came to us to upskill on current barbering trends & techniques & was with us Thursday's & Friday's for 2 weeks.

Working in the hair industry for 30 plus years, she has taken away from the course all the latest treads in Barbering to offer her clients the highest standard of haircuts.

We wish them both all the very best moving forward 😄

Congratulations Sam who yesterday completed his 1-Week Bootcamp Barbering Course with us 💪💈💇‍♂️

We enjoyed working with you & helping you out introducing new techniques to take back to the Barbershop in Dundee.

Gregor came to us after being in the Navy for 11 years.

He wanted a change in direction & is now doing our SVQ Level 2 Barbering Course.

We thought we'd share some of his recent work & the standard of his cutting skills after just 8 weeks 💈💪

"when I first started I didn't realise how much there was to cutting men's hair. Working initially on the mannequins gave me a clear understanding of the head shape, angles to work with & building up the tensionin my fingers. Also working with the comb to hand technique whilst using the scissors"

"This gave me the confidence with scissors/clippers & groundwork to then use on the models we have in"

"I'm looking forward to getting more in-depth with techniques as the course goes on"

Another recent graduation & a face we'll miss is Daniel's who's now working at McG's Barbershop in Glasgow.

We asked him about his thoughts after the course.

"Completely surprised myself achieving my SVQ Level 2 Barbering & now a fully qualified barber"

"I remember walking through the doors a nervous wreck to then enjoying learning the barbering techniques. It took a lot of time and effort with the guidance under the Educators"

"Many ups and downs whilst planning a wedding, having a new born and having to work full time, it was a challenge to say the least but one I enjoyed"
