Having had several moles removed and a skin cancer, it is vital you consult your Dr/Dermatologist first if you have any concerns or changes. Please ensure you only ever have moles removed by a medical professional that will then test it. They should never be zapped off in a salon or clinic!

Today there will be a debate in Parliament on the histological testing of excised moles, which is being led by Richard Quigley MP for Isle of Wight West and Ben Goldsborough MP for South Norfolk

The debate is likely to highlight the importance of ensuring that all removed moles are tested, including those that have been removed cosmetically.

This call to test all removed moles is in memory of Zoe Panayi from the Isle of Wight, who tragically died in 2020 aged 26 of melanoma. Zoe was told by her GP her mole was a skin tag and it was removed by a cosmetic clinic and not tested - despite Zoe asking for it to be.
