Last night, I had the pleasure of attending an exclusive founder event with Sunday Riley at the stunning in Glasgow, and what an incredible evening it was. ✨

It was such a privilege to meet Sunday herself, who travelled all the way from Texas for the event. Not only is she the founder of the brand, but she also personally formulates every single product. During an inspiring Q&A session, she shared her journey, her passion for skincare, and fascinating insights into ingredients, product development, and building a successful global brand.
One thing she said that really made me smile was the importance of protecting your “Mona Lisa” - your face! It’s such a simple yet memorable way of thinking about looking after your skin, and it’s definitely something I’ll remember.

The evening continued with a cocktail party, featuring interactive cocktail stations where each drink was thoughtfully paired with a Sunday Riley skincare product to discover. Every detail had been carefully considered, creating such a unique and memorable experience.

To top off an already amazing evening, we were treated to an incredibly generous goody bag featuring two full-size products, including the iconic Good Genes. I can’t wait to start using them and see the results! ✨

I took my lovely friend Gill 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝙼𝚄𝙰_ ™ SCOTLAND along, so we had the best laugh together, as always. It was also so nice catching up with other industry friends and meeting so many lovely new faces. 🤍

Yesterday I turned 33. ✨

Yesterday also marked 12 years since I took the leap and became self-employed on my 21st birthday.

Sometimes you forget just how far you’ve come. You get so caught up chasing the next goal that you don’t stop to appreciate everything you’ve already lived through. Looking back at these memories reminded me of the incredible highs, the moments I never imagined possible, the setbacks, the self-doubt, the tears, the growth, and all the lessons that came with them.

From a 17-year-old with a passion for makeup to 33 years old, 16 years into this journey, and 12 years of running my own business.
It hasn’t always been glamorous. There have been times I’ve questioned myself, wondered if I was good enough, felt exhausted, and thought about giving up. But every challenge taught me something, and every step - even the difficult ones - has led me here.
I’m incredibly proud of the business I’ve built, the people I’ve met, the brides and clients who’ve trusted me, and the community that’s supported me every step of the way. None of this would have been possible without you.

As I step into 33, I’m choosing to celebrate not just the milestones, but the resilience it took to reach them 🤍✨

Where it all began ...
College days West College Scotland 
The dream was always makeup.

Whilst I was at college, my lovely industry friend Artisté by Leigh Blaney | Bridal Makeup Artist | Scotland took me under her wing on the Max Factor counter in Boots Braehead.

We definitely had more laughs than sense! 😂

Those days gave me such a great introduction to the industry, and I’ll always be so grateful to Leigh for believing in me, guiding me, and helping me build the foundations of my career.

Looking back now brings back so many happy memories. 🤍

Graduated in 2013 from Clydebank College with a HND in Make-up Artisrry West College Scotland 👩🏻‍🎓

I then joined Lancôme at House of Fraser Glasgow, where I spent a year building my confidence and putting everything I’d learned into practice. ✨
