One of the biggest misconceptions about permanent makeup is that regular touch-ups are always a good thing.
The reality? Sometimes the best thing you can do is… wait.
Healthy skin will always be my priority, and I’d much rather advise a client to leave their PMU a little longer than overwork the skin unnecessarily. Beautiful healed results come from respecting the skin, not simply adding more pigment every year.
Every client is different, which is why touch-up timings should be based on your skin, your healed results, and how your pigment has faded—not an arbitrary timeframe.

✨ Nano Brows on Challenging Skin ✨
Not every client has the perfect canvas..that just isn’t real life -
This lovely client had undergone multiple laser removal sessions over the years, leaving areas of scar tissue throughout the brows. Scar tissue can behave very differently to healthy skin – it may not hold pigment as predictably, can heal patchy, and often requires a more cautious approach during treatment.
This is where experience, technique, and managing expectations become so important.
With nano brows, my aim is always to create the most natural result possible while working with the skin I have in front of me. On scarred skin, this may mean adapting stroke patterns, adjusting pressure, and understanding that some areas may heal softer than others.
The goal isn’t perfection on the day of treatment – it’s creating a beautiful healed result over time.
Every set of brows tells a story, and sometimes the most rewarding transformations come from the most challenging canvases. 🖤
If you’ve had previous tattooing, laser removal, or have areas of scar tissue, don’t assume you’re not a candidate for brows. A thorough consultation will help determine the best approach for your individual skin.

One of the most important parts of my job isn’t actually tattooing brows… it’s helping clients choose a shape that works with their features, not against them.
It’s completely normal to come to your appointment with inspiration photos or a specific brow shape in mind. However, not every brow shape suits every face, and sometimes the brows we admire on someone else simply aren’t the right fit for our own bone structure, eye shape, or natural hair pattern.
My goal is never to create a trend that may look dated in a few years, but to design brows that enhance your natural beauty and age beautifully over time.
Sometimes that means I may advise against making brows significantly higher, much darker, thicker, or more arched than your natural anatomy allows. Not because it can’t be done, but because the most flattering results are usually the ones that look as though they were always meant to be there.
The best brow tattoo isn’t the one that stands out. It’s the one that makes people say, “You look amazing,” without being able to pinpoint exactly why.
Beautiful brows should complement your features, not compete with them. 🤍

If you’re new here, I thought I’d introduce myself,
I’m Eleanor, the face behind Eleanor PMU & LASH.
I’m a Permanent Makeup Artist and Lash Technician with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, specialising in creating natural, confidence-boosting results that are tailored to each individual client.
Whether it’s brows, lips, lashes or eyeliner, my goal has always been the same: to help people feel like the very best version of themselves while providing a welcoming, comfortable space where they can relax and feel heard.
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and children, walking the dog, supporting my kids from the sidelines, or working behind the scenes on new ideas and exciting projects for the business.. 😉
Running your own business is a journey I’m incredibly grateful for. It allows me to do what I love every day and meet some truly amazing people along the way.

Not all lip blush treatments are the same 💋
In this reel, I’m explaining the different lip blush styles available and how each one creates a different healed result.
✨ Natural Lip Blush – soft colour enhancement to add definition and freshness while keeping your lips looking natural.
✨ Defined/Lipstick match Lip Blush – more focus on the lip border and shape, creating extra definition while still maintaining a soft finish.
✨ Ombre Lip Blush – a stronger border that gradually softens towards the centre of the lips for an enhanced fuller lip effect.
✨ Neutralisation Lip Blush – designed for lips with cooler, darker, or uneven tones to help create a more balanced colour before building towards your desired shade.

Today was a special refresh appointment for a lovely client who first came to me 6 years ago after losing her brows through chemotherapy. 🤍
Over the years, her brow tattoo has helped restore not just shape and definition, but confidence too — and today we refreshed them to keep them looking soft, and natural which will heal beautifully.
It’s always an honour to be trusted with something so personal, and moments like these remind me why I love what I do. ✨
