Hay Fever injection

Severe hayfever symptoms can ruin your summer and have a detrimental effect on quality of life and ability to work optimally.

If you have severe symptoms that fail to respond to other treatments, such as oral antihistamine medications or topical eye drops it is possible to request an appointment to discuss the hay fever injection.

What is the hayfever injection and how does it work?
Hayfever injection is a corticosteroid injection given into the buttock. The medication has anti-inflammatory properties which slightly suppress the immune system and stop the body’s natural pollen response from going ‘haywire’. The treatment starts to work approximately 2 days after treatment and results last up to 3 months.

All injections are given by fully qualified medical professionals (Doctor or nurse practitioner). We will undertake a careful risk assessment to make sure that you are a good candidate for treatment, and will explain the potential side effects and likely benefits in detail.

The dose required to control severe symptoms is partly related to body weight. If you are over 80kg you will require a larger dose to ease your symptoms. We have found that the therapeutic dose for most effective relief is 1mg per kg of body weight, therefore our standard doses administered are 40mg-80mg per patient.

The full range of treatments options available for hay fever will be discussed by our medical team, who will decide whether the potential benefits of the treatment for severe hayfever outweigh any risks.

Year after year same story
As long as medication is given by a registered professional and the products are brought from a legitimate pharmacy these medications are safe
Off licensed does not mean banned it means discretion of prescriber

I am sure the pharmacies suffer financially from not selling over the counter treatments for hayfever

Year after year I have given this treatment and year after year have happy clients symptom free

BOOK BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

Kenalog Injection for Hay Fever
For people who suffer from severe hay fever symptoms, traditional treatments such as antihistamines or nasal sprays may not provide enough relief. In these cases, the Kenalog injection can be a highly effective treatment. It contains the synthetic corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory medication. The injection is administered directly into the muscle by a healthcare professional and can provide relief from hay fever symptoms for up to 12 weeks.

Kenalog is a strong prescription medication. Check your provider’s professional credentials, where they obtained the prescription medication from, and their experience of administering it. It should be considered as a last resort after trying other solutions, and your healthcare provider should check this with you.

Conclusion
Hay fever can be a challenging condition to manage, but with the right treatment, it is possible to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life. Whether you prefer traditional treatments such as antihistamines and nasal sprays or are interested in exploring the Kenalog injection, it is important to discuss your options with a healthcare professional. With the right treatment plan, you can enjoy the spring and summer months without the discomfort of hay fever symptoms.
