💖 An update from Tempting Persephone 💖

To my wonderful clients,
I’m reaching out today to share a little update on where things are at with Tempting Persephone. Life is currently a massive juggling act, and between navigating a chronic illness, the intense home stretch of my PhD (only 14 months to go! 🎓), and general life demands, my plate is officially full.
To make sure I’m looking after my health and meeting my academic deadlines, I’ve made the decision to take a step back from doing nails.

What this means going forward:
🚫 Goodbye Fresha: I will be coming off the Fresha platform and moving away from a automated booking system.
💌 Regulars & Old Clients: You are not completely losing me! I will still be taking on the odd client here and there when time and energy allow.
🗓️ How to book: If you’re a regular or past client and want to get booked in, please drop me a direct message. I will always do my absolute best to squeeze you in where I can!

Thank you all so much for your incredible support, your understanding, and for letting me bring a bit of magic to your nails. This isn't a permanent goodbye, just a shift in focus while I get this doctorate over the finish line!
Sending so much love
Claire✨

Anyone who knows me, including my clients, knows that I'm one of the worst for do as I say, not as I do. I NEVER have nails on this long. I pick, I play with them, use them as tools (they're jewels people!) clean without gloves, wash dishes and have very long soaks in the bath. None of that has changed but check these out. These are a full set of Biosculpture silk extensions I applied before I went away for my 40th at the start of October. When I came back, I buffed off the glitter I'd applied and redid them for Halloween, thinking they'd be off by Halloween and I could redo them for Guy Fawkes etc. I did this infill on the 19th of October. And. They. Are. Still. Solid. I really need to change them (you shouldn't go longer than 3 weeks between appointments and these are coming up to 4) but a part of me wants to see how long these bad boys last.

Downside, they're now a bit long for me and getting my contacts out? Impossible. (I've ordered a tool which i will hopefully be sharing on here when I try it!)

What would you do? Leave them? Change them??

Just a quick PSA - you don't need to use harsh, damaging nail brands for a gel manicure that lasts. That BIAB you keep asking for? It's doing damage. Biosculpture promotes healthy natural nail care without the harmful ingredients of some of the 'big' brands. Biosculpture is the original builder gel, is HEMA and TPO free (also has been!) And is backed by nearly 40 years of research.

New appointment system alert! We've moved from Fresha to Square Appointments, and all existing clients have been transferred. You'll receive reminders as normal. Book your appointment through the TemptBook link in my bio. Can't wait to see you!

PhD side post:

Shamless plug for more volunteers please! I've recruited enough women who exercise but still need more who don't exercise (but have thought about it/would like to) and those who are new to exercising or are inconsistent with it.

Please share this too!

If you're interested, drop me a message, email me or sign up at https://bit.ly/SOSFG

Thank you!!

I've thought long and hard about posting this but the number of people I have had contacting me asking is increasing and they're getting ruder...

I do NOT offer any form of discount for "senior citizens", students, people on UC or PIP etc. I'm sorry if that offends anyone but I have worked out my prices based on what it costs to perform the service, using the highest quality products and still be able to support myself and my children. I'm sorry that my services are out of your budget but please understand it costs me the same regardless of how much money you have coming in/out and I'm in no position to subsidise anybody.

I'm open to discussion about group bookings, which may attract a discount and I already offer discounted packages if you prepay for a course of treatments.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone but hopefully you can understand where I'm coming from.

I LOVE autumn and I'm so excited to start on those autumn nails!

Next bit of news... I will be starting reflexology training in September. It's going to take several months of training but I'll be on the lookout for people to practice on and then mid 2025 will see this added to my service menu.

First bit of news... The small one... I'm in the process of moving to a new booking system. In the next few weeks I will be transitioning over and you will start receiving your reminders from Setmore instead of Fresha. For those of you who book your appointments yourselves, I will publish an updated booking link as soon as it's live. I apologise for any teething problems but I'm hopeful this new system will be worth it!
