Hi… I’ve had a few new followers on here so i thought I would introduce myself…
Im Ruth I’ve been a hairdresser for over 20 years bloody hell that’s gone fast!!!
I started my career off in Leeds I stumbled into the job thinking it would only be a gap year before going on to study fine art sculpture turns out Hairdressing was my fortay I started and I never stopped…

I pride myself on being an artistic hairdresser I think this gives me a different angle to others I can often see shape and tone and how to go about what’s in my head before I start.
often I find people come to me because they need advice and bespoke design that’s unique to them instead of just being asked
“same again!!!

I’m massively lucky that I have my very own studio in the heart of Harrogate it’s just me and my clients this is the way I like it to surround myself with good music a relaxing atmosphere art work good lighting this gives me clarity of thought so I can give my clients 100%

I specialise in precision cutting I help lots of people with problematic hair I can tame frizz into beautiful curls and give someone the dream colour they always wanted whether it’s peacock blue or beach blonde chocolate brown vampire red !!!

I’m humbled to have such wonderful colourful clients that make every day I’m at work interesting and fulfilling

… to be in the same job for over 20 years and still love it I know I’m winning ❤️❤️❤️…

Caroline…

i remember the first time I met Caroline I had moved to Harrogate from leeds found a job at first floor studios it was my first day it was early I decided to go in and unpack my things have a coffee before my first client …in walked a beautiful lady with a perfect shiny brown bob she had sparkly eyeshadow and looked really classy I turned and smiled at her she opened her eyes wide and said oohhhhh hello who are you!!! I think I stuttered a bit when I said who I was she came right over and said well I’m Caroline you can come work here next to me…
from that moment onwards we built a great relationship I followed Caroline to four different salons over about ten years every time I worked with her it was an absolute joy
I would watch her cut hair for hours she used little scissors she would take such tiny sections her haircuts were perfect and when dried would fall beautifully she was an unbelievably talented stylist…
She introduced me to so much music lots of I still play in my salon now we would sit between clients talking about cooking art music fashion we had so much in common two arty types together it was perfect !!!She held my hand through so many difficult times and so I did hers
I will forever be greatful for having her amazing influence on my life …
She had so much compassion and time for so many people she will be missed hugely…

Tonight i will play the music I will have a vodka straight out of the freezer just like she did I will be thinking of Caroline Dancing under a disco ball in a vivienne westwood dress sparkling wonderfully forever …

I want to say my condolences to Caroline’s family who she absolutely adored I will be thinking of you all # # #
