Why do 'some' clients think it's ok to insult small businesses?

We have terms and policies in place to protect our livelihood and business. I have had this happen time and time again, despite terms being made clear from the time of booking.

If you arrive late or miss an appointment there WILL be a charge, whatever the reason, whether it's traffic, illness or otherwise and we ask clients not to take it personally. BUT they frequently do!

I have had insults and accusations of not being professional, amongst other negative comments.

I am absolutely convinced if I weren't a small business, but say a clinic in Harley Street, or similar, there would be no judgement and clients seem to be more willing to accept the consequences in such a situation. Why do we get abused as small businesses? 😕

A polite request once again, please respect our time, as we do yours. To all old and new clients, if you don't accept BROW LABS appointment terms then please do not book appointments.

I'm not good with negativity towards me or my business when I try damn hard to run a professional service. Bad vibes run wild in my mind for a long time, leave me feeling sad.

APPOINTMENT POLICY KEY NOTES

Hello Lovelies!

A gentle reminder that we have a strict Appointment Policy in place. This is to protect our small business and your appointments.

We value each and every client/booking and take time and effort to ensure you are never rushed out the door and enough time is allocated to you and your service. In return we ask that you value OUR time & policies.

Clients often have a problem when we enforce the terms (charge fees) and will take it personally, when they haven't adhered to the terms.

Whether you are a new or existing client, the terms WILL apply. As a small business, the income allows me to provide for to provide for my young family and make a liveihood. Just imagine if we took the hit for every client that no-showed or cancelled without notice, the business would not survive!

All appointment excluding (basic) Shaping & Tinting services require a booking fee to secure the slots.

All appointments require 48hrs notice for Rescheduling or Cancellation notice, for fees will apply.

Permanent Makeup & Tattoo appointments require 72hrs notice for Rescheduling and Cancellations, or fees will apply.

Full details of the Appointment Policy will be sent to you upon request or booking appointments. We kindly ask that clients only book appointments if they agree to the appointment terms.
