Oakwood Court Care Home

Residents had fun throwing the beach balls into the buckets for our target game today. They could get 10 20 or 30 points and their scores totted up nicely and participants cheered om eachother. We could only have one winner though and that was Sheila who scored 90 points on her last round and was very happy to win a box of match makers

Happy Sunday everyone the sun is shining ☀️ again.

This morning we got physical by playing bean bag toss. Trying to get a beanbag in each of the hoops this promotes the physical element and hand eye co ordination. Our residents did so well 💪👏.

We then did a penalty shoot out ⚽️🥅 Charlie was the goal keeper 😂 and each resident had to try and score a goal. They all did so well which lots of laughter involved too 🥰.

This afternoon we will do some jigsaw puzzles 🧩 and have a natter.

What a wonderful Open Day we had! 🌟

It was a pleasure to welcome so many visitors and meet new people interested in joining our community, whether for a permanent home or a short respite break.

Guests enjoyed exploring our home, meeting our friendly team, and learning more about the personalised care, companionship, and activities we offer.

This afternoon we were all entertained by the wonderful Andy Mace 🎤🎶 A highly talented singer, Andy had us all toe tapping, clapping and singing along to his varied repertoire of songs 🥰
Music brings so much joy to so many with tunes and lyrics evoking memories from different eras. There were certainly a lot of smiles on faces this afternoon 🥰🎤🎶
