Residents engaged in a sensory activity this morning, trying to guess the flavours of crisp🍅🧀🥩🌶🍋‍🟩🥭🌽🥕🧅🤔
They also learnt about the history of crisps, some fun crisp facts and we held a poll to see which flavour came out top at Oakwood Court. The winner was cheese and onion, closely followed by ready salted 😋

It was clear to see the benefits that Millie the Pet Therapy dog brings to the residents when Claire brings her in to see everyone🐾🥰
Big smiles greeted Millie and she had a wonderfully calming effect on all who had a cuddle. She's such a good dog,especially with so many tasty treats around! 🍪😋
Lovely carer, Juliet, is a firm favourite of Millie's - perhaps its to do with the treat bag she carries around with her 🤔😂🥰

Today we are celebrating two very special team members. Wishing our wonderful Senior, Maria, and our dedicated Night Staff member, Hilary, a very Happy Birthday! 🥳🎈

We would also like to send a belated Happy Birthday to our newest Night Staff member, Latefa. 🎉🌷 We hope you had a fantastic day and wish you happiness, good health, and success in your new role with us.

Our residents were so pleased to pet the guinea pigs which Becks from Petpals brought from her farm today. It was also a delight seeing the little kittens which will be finding new owners very shortly. Nala Becks' dog lay lazily in the heat next to the proceedings and also later met the residents.

🍦😊 Ice Cream Tasting at Oakwood Court Care Home! 😊🍦

There were plenty of smiles at Oakwood Court as our residents enjoyed a delicious ice cream tasting session with our talented Chef Tara! 🍨✨

Residents had the opportunity to sample a variety of flavours, share their favourites, and reminisce about fond summer memories while enjoying this sweet treat together. The activity sparked lots of conversation, laughter, and friendly debate over which flavour deserved the top spot! 😋

A huge thank you to Chef Tara for creating such an enjoyable experience and helping make the afternoon so special.
