The woman has asked her partner for half the income she predicts she will lose as a result of having their baby. The man can’t bear how “transactional” this all feels when they are discussing the birth of their child. Some comments agree. I feel this should be normal, and as some have pointed out there’s still a lot the woman has not even considered. If couples openly discuss this then fewer people will react like this man who feels this is wrong.

Reposted from see link in stories Lots of questions about the class action lawsuit against Thinx, which was not about safety but advertising. It pertains for a group of chemicals called PFAS.

This so far too much information for an Instagram post and so my latest article for The Vajenda is all about the subject.

The summary is this is unlikely a significant source of exposure for an individual, but the caveat is the impact of PFAS (the group of chemicals identified here) in clothing is understudied. The bigger issue is likely the manufacturing of these products and what happens when they are thrown away and how PFAS gets in the water and the soil.

There are far more concerning sources of PFAS exposure that we know about, and I detail that in the article. As well as ways to reduce exposure.

I think the article covers all the questions and hope you find it helpful.
