How gorgeous is ’s colour? 🤍 So many beautiful tones, perfectly shade matched and enhanced using Slim Line Tapes in three shades: Golden Brown, Caramelised & Bohemian Blonde.
The secret to a seamless blend is all in the shade matching, which is why I love combining up to four shades to create natural dimension and movement through the hair.
Styled using ’s The Wide Iron 💫
Is it normal to lose hair during your maintenance appointment? 👇
Absolutely. We naturally shed around 50 to 100 hairs a day, so over a 6-10 week period that hair naturally gets caught between your tapes or nanos.
Clients can often be a bit shocked when they see how much hair is removed during maintenances, but rest assured it’s completely normal 🤍
What’s not normal?
- Bald patches or excessive thinning
- Pain or scalp irritation
- Excessive breakage
- Extensions slipping constantly
During your maintenance we:
- Remove your extensions
- Brush out natural shed hair + residue
- Refit the extensions slightly above or below the previous placement to avoid putting weight back onto the exact same hairs
- Blend + style your hair
Regular maintenance appointments are essential for healthy hair, scalp & long-term extension wear ✨
Bright blonde without overdoing the bleach 🐚🫧🤍
With summer approaching, so many blondes want to feel brighter, cleaner and lighter, but healthy hair will always come first over here. The goal isn’t always more bleach, it’s creating the illusion of brightness with the right colour choices.
How I brighten a blonde using extensions:
1. Choose a shade that matches the natural blonde throughout the hair
2. Add 1-2 lighter shades lighter to create brightness and dimension. My top tip would be to avoid any block blondes here and ensure you pick a shade which has elements of the natural colour running through it
3. Use rooted shades where needed to maintain depth and ensure the blend stays seamless and natural throughout the whole time your client wears those extensions
This technique gives that fresh, clean brightness whilst keeping the overall look soft, blended and low maintenance.
For styling I love a curl, and recently I’ve been using the curler to achieve this look ☁️
Blondes, listen up 👇✨
The secret to seamless blonde extensions isn’t just the install… it’s the colour mix, the placement strategy, the consideration of how the extensions will look as they grow out over time.
Most blonde clients need between 2–4 shades of hair, and I’ll almost always add a rooted shade for non-natural blondes to create a result that still looks months after the initial install ✨
Using multiple tones creates that soft, seamless blend that looks natural in every light.
The secret to mastering extensions really is all in the tiny details… Follow for episode 2 👀
1. Can we move that tape? I just remembered I always have my hair tucked behind my ear that side!
Absolutely, your extensions should look & feel seamless
2. Do you mind if we don’t talk much today?
As a mum, I get it.
3. Can we go a bit lighter this time?
Want to add more dimension, let’s do it
4. I’m not sure what I want, can you help me decide?
That’s what I’m here for honeys!
Can we normalise these conversations please? 🤍

Next is application:
• Make sure your sectioning is clean
• Remove any trapped hairs before securing your tapes
• Ensure there is space between the hair and scalp, you should be able to easily lift the tape up without any visible tension to the root
Then, a moment for this blend please ⏱
And finally, styling:
Don’t we love it when our vision comes together! Using my trusty wide iron straighteners ofc to achieve this blow-out look 🤍

How to create a 360° experience for your extension clients 🤍
To create a gorge experience inside and outside the studio, you have to master each touchpoint. A few things that have made the biggest difference for me:
1. Creating a clean, calm environment is so important. Your space, application methods and attention to detail all shape the client experience
2. Always carry out consultations in the studio for the most accurate colour match and overall result
3. Client education matters just as much as the transformation itself. I always provide aftercare guidance to help clients maintain both their extensions and natural hair health
4. Only offer products that align with my brand values. Scalp health and hair integrity are a huge priority for me, so I carefully choose what I recommend and stock
5. Small details make a big impact. Remembering personal conversations and checking in with clients beyond their hair helps build genuine long term relationships 🤍
6. Keeping clients informed with policy updates, maintenance advice and gentle reminders helps create a smooth experience for everyone
It’s taken me a good few years to refine my client experience, but it’s something I always encourage newer stylists to focus on. The way you make clients feel plays such a huge part in loyalty, trust and referrals 💫
