Where it all began… 🤍

Looking back at these photos brings back so many emotions. Back in 2011, I took one of the biggest leaps of my life and opened my very first beauty salon —called beauty bo***ir studio above Greenside Gym.

I can still remember the butterflies I had before opening the doors. It was exciting, terrifying, and emotional all at the same time. I had no idea where the journey would take me, but I believed in myself enough to take the chance.

It might not look like much, but this little salon was everything to me. I built it completely from scratch, on my own, pouring my heart, soul, and countless hours into making it a success.

It grew into a lovely little business, and before long I moved into bigger premises in Ryton, took on staff, and continued building the dream. Eventually, that journey led me to launching iBrow Ju**ie.

Looking back now, I’m so proud of that younger version of me who took the risk. Without this little salon, none of what I’ve built today would exist.

One of the questions I’m asked most is, “How long will my brow lamination last?”

The honest answer is… it really depends on how well you care for your brows after your appointment. The first 24–48 hours are especially important, as this is when your brows are setting into their new shape.

Going forward, conditioning your brows is just as important. Healthy, hydrated brow hairs will hold their shape better and keep your lamination looking fresher for longer.

A little tip from me… 💕

While brow oils are lovely, they don’t always provide enough conditioning on their own. Oils help to seal in moisture, but they don’t deeply condition the hair shaft. Using a dedicated brow conditioner will nourish the hairs from within, helping to keep them soft, healthy and beautifully laminated between appointments.

A few minutes of aftercare each day can make all the difference to the longevity of your treatment. 🤍

A little note to my returning clients… 🤍

One thing I never want you to feel is that you have to keep having exactly the same brows because that’s what we’ve always done.

If you’ve been thinking, “I’d love them a little lighter this time,” “Maybe a little darker,” or “Could we make them slightly softer or a touch fuller?”—please tell me before we begin.

I want you to feel comfortable enough to have those conversations with me.

At the same time, I hope you trust that my role is to guide you. I’ll always advise you honestly, explain what I think will suit your features and your natural brows best, and I’ll never recommend something that I don’t believe will give you a beautiful result.

The best appointments are a collaboration.

You tell me how you’re feeling about your brows, and I’ll use my experience to create the best version of that. Sometimes I’ll say, “Absolutely, let’s do it.” Other times I might suggest a slightly different approach if I think it’ll give you a better result—and I’ll always explain why.

I’d always rather have that conversation before we start than have you leave thinking, “I wish I’d said something.”

At the end of the day, my goal isn’t just to create beautiful brows—it’s to make sure you leave feeling like you.
