Let’s talk bases….

There’s so much misinformation being circulated around and we all know I like to be honest and transparent with you.

A standard gel polish base: great for clients with already strong nails with great retention. Can be soaked off too.

Builder gel: a soft gel which is great for clients who need some extra strength to their nails, or who are a little more heavy handed. A structured manicure which can be infilled or soaked off. Great for clients with short to medium length nails.

Syner gel: a hybrid gel between the standard gel base and a builder gel. It has the flexibility of a gel base with added strength which means it can be built up like a builder gel. Needs a primer, can be infilled or soaked off.

Hard gel: Very similar to builder gel where it’s a structured manicure and it can be infilled. However due to the make up of hard gel it is very resilient and “hard” wearing, hence the name. It can be used to fix broken nails, chipped nails where you can build a free edge back up. Perfect for clients with medium to long nails, also those who are hard on their hands. Where this is different to a builder gel is that hard gel is just that, it is hard meaning it can’t be soaked off and has to be filed off only. This is due to how the gel is made up, there isn’t space in the make up of hard gel for acetone to cut through it to soak off.

I hope you found this informative. I could talk to you all for hours about my job as it is my passion. 😂 if anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to ask at your next appointment or ping me a message.

Thank you ✨
