This is postpartum
The recovery from my first birth an pregnancy was not one that I wanted a repeat of! Here are a few of the concious recovery choices i’ve made post C-Section:
Protien- Protien is essential when it comes to wound healing and immunity support. Upping lean protien and Iron rich foods to fuel recovery.
Hydration (but make it purposeful)- staying hydrated whilst breastfeeding is a battle in itself. Factor in blood loss and post surgical fluid retention and you’ll be gasping. Opting for daily electrolytes was an absolute no brainer for me. Humantra Apricot has been a favourite so far…..
Arnica- a homeopathic solution to swelling and bruising. I decided to go with the Weleda 30c tablets.
Compression- high waisted compression knickers and leggings for abdominal muscle and wound support.
Compression socks, not the sexiest accessory but your vascular health post birth and post surgery is no joke.
Staying active- not just to promote healing but to keep my mind sane too!

Maternity leave is finally underway but don’t fret i’m not planning on taking a huge chunk of time out of the salon.
