LED phototherapy: what’s real and what’s hype ✨ You’ve seen the masks. But do they actually work? ✅ Yes — for the right skin concerns, dose and consistency. Here’s the truth: 🔹 LED works by delivering light your skin cells can use — red (healing + anti-inflammatory), blue (kills acne bacteria), and near-infrared (repair + collagen support). 🔹 It’s clinically proven to help mild–moderate acne and early signs of ageing — but results are gradual, not dramatic. Home devices: Most are much weaker than in-clinic systems. You’ll get subtle improvements if you use them 3–5x a week, consistently, for at least 8–12 weeks. Stop — and results fade. Safety: Always protect your eyes and avoid LED if you’re on photosensitising medication or have a light-sensitive condition. I’ve had the privilege of knowing Natasha for many years and was fortunate to be one of her students at Foreverderm Academy almost a decade ago. She brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience to the clinic. It’s been a minute since I introduced myself — and since this page has been through a few changes while I develop the clinic, I thought I’d say hi again 👋 My name’s Nicola… formerly under Nicola Agassi but that’s actually one of my son's names. Now he’s getting older, I wanted to take it out of my work so it’s fully his 🤍 I’m a millennial mum to more children than I have hands. I’ve worked in aesthetics for almost a decade, been a PMU artist for about the same. I love creating natural, healthy-looking aesthetic results and I genuinely believe skin is the body’s greatest communicator. I talk (a lot) about wellness and how it impacts your skin. This is something that has become very important to me in my own health journey. You'll see elements of my findings woven into the clinic and my treatment protocols.
