Holding Up the Sky is a small collection of essays and poems written from the raw edges of sadness, parental estrangement, faith, self-worth, and healing.

Some of the writing is soft, and some of it opens up my struggle to love and accept myself. In some pieces, I search for God. In others, I write from the child within — the little girl who once looked up at the sky and wondered who was holding it there.

This book is a record of how it felt on certain days in my life, to carry pain, question it, speak back to it, and begin letting parts of it go.

If you find yourself somewhere in these pages — in the ache of not being seen, in the longing for parents who could not love you as you needed, in the work of setting boundaries, or in the quiet hope of becoming whole — then I hope these words meet you gently.
