Have dealt with a few clients recently who have neck pain and that also cause headaches.

Amongst other factors, tension in the upper trapezius, levator scapulae and suboccipital muscles (base of skull) can contribute to headaches and tightness in the neck.

Massaging these areas, especially the suboccipital muscles, can ease tension headaches.
