📢 Important Update: UK Nail Gel Changes – What You Need to Know!

I wanted to share some clear, simple news about an upcoming change in the nail industry – the UK is phasing out a chemical called TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide), which is used to cure some gel products under UV/LED lamps.

Why is this happening?
It’s a precautionary measure: when used correctly, gels are safe, but uncured gel coming into contact with skin can sometimes cause sensitivities or allergies. The EU has already taken similar steps, and most major brands have already reformulated their products to be TPO-free.

What does this mean for YOU & your appointments?
✨ No need to cancel or reschedule! I can legally continue using my current products throughout 2026 safely.
✨ We’re already ahead of the curve! At Pretty In Pink Nail Bar, we’ve been using TPO-free, hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly gel polishes for some time. Your nails are already in compliance with the new regulations and, more importantly, safe and beautiful!
